2018 Lift kit recommendations with KDSS

Hello I just bought a 2018 TRD ORP with KDSS. I am mostly going to drive the rig on the street and will be doing some moderate and medium offroading. I don't want it be too stiff and still maintain good onroad handling while improving the offroad handling. I have seen kits from Old man Emu, King, ICON and Toytec. What do you recommend? I'm sure this has been discussed before . Also prefer to do a suspension lift and not spacers.

Not all beer is the same. Some is great like craft beers and others are crap like Bud and Miller. I am trying to rule out the Bud and Miller's of the suspension world. How do you like the Icon and how is the ride?

 

Icon is shit. It is harsh on small bumps like bridge abutments.

Kings however are butter on everything.

I like keystone light.

 

must have locked out on mine then, cause the ride is smooth. it's all personal preference bud. you can part things out to get that craft suspension you like. king uca fox shocks toy springs. I personally like a tight firm suspension hence the icon as far as harsh....not sure bout that. to each their own I guess

I ran Icon on my Tacoma, and they are ok. Both my rear shocks blew the seal after just 4 years, and that’s with very light 4wheelin. I am running ADS on my 4Runner, and there is no comparison. The ride is amazing, very smooth yet firm. And awesome on the trails.

 

I have a Toytec Ultimate. Can't really recommend it because I haven't tried anything else. Works good and much better ride than a Rubicon.

I appreciate the responses. I don't have any buddies with 4runners (only Jeeps) to see how their ride is. I am looking to not go any stiffer than stock for the road. If I need to beat the crap out of my kidneys I'll take my 1979 CJ5 out on the trial .

This is what I have gathered so for. Fox, King and ADS are very similar as far as ride. Icon is stiffer and better for high speed off roading. I'm not sure how stiff or smooth Toytec is but it seems they are between Icon and Fox/King.
