New 6th gen not able to hold up to the pressure of being as good as the 5th gen.

 

Doubt that was vehicle related as to the cause of explosion. No damage from fire at the engine compartment. Looks like it exploded in the cargo area. Meth lab? Flatulent guy sleeping in the back? SUV air mattress catastrophe?

 

Some terrorist got his AM/PM confused on the timer.
(Also know as a self solving crime)

Looks like an LP gas explosion. Probably was keeping a bottle or tank inside the vehicle that had a leaky valve.

I don’t think so. There’s no sign that the car was on fire. No puddle of melted plastic below. No scorching if the tree above, or of anything else. No water or fire suppressant on the ground.

Claimed to be propane and butane canisters present and that lighting a cigarette set whatever it was in there off.

Was it a leaking 100 gallon propane tank? I don't buy it. Way too much damage for him not to be injured.
