Cali Raised Issue

Not a great first experience with these folks. Ordered the dash mount kit and they shipped me what appears to be a used unit. One of the threads was stripped and the bolt will not enter at the right angle to secure the mount. Additionally, the guide they shipped me is rusted.

I reached out to customer service via the only method I could find which was chat and no response and no email as of this morning. 3 days later.

Damn.. these small operators really need to ramp up customer experience. They are selling low tech, low moat products. Customer loyalty should be one of their primary pillars.

for returned items, they should just have a persistent discounted pool… set the customer expectation. Under promise, over deliver

 

This is why I am so reluctant to purchase a product from them, of quality and customer service. This is not the first time that I have heard negative feed back about their customer service and quality of products. Especially being easily accessible to help their customers. They post a lot about their parts and accessories on this forum too. I hope they help you out and change the narrative of their customer service.

 

Cali Raised or Cali Raised Led? Two different companies.

Cali Raised (Offroad) was the company who’s owner was got convicted on child porn and I think is was also grooming and sexually abusing kids.

Cali Raised LED is a different company. Their owner Blake got sued by Rago for clear and obvious copyright infringement and trying to deceive people into thinking they were buying Rago parts.

4RunnerLifeStyle has the same stupid method of communication via text only and they take weeks before you get a response back.
Not a very smart way to run a business specially when your purchase is over 1k.

That is very disturbing allegations and I would NOT support companies like that, specially related to child abuse. Very disgusting and upsetting.

Yes I did receive an email from support and they shipped me a new unit that was in perfect shape. Thank you. Concerning though that I never received a response via the method offered on your site (chat), and I never got an email. It was only after I posted on this site that I was able to get customer service. I appreciate the effort that was made once you became involved but I think you would agree that it I shouldn't have had to go this far to get support.

They offered a 20% refund and since it fits perfectly and no one will see this, I was fine with it.

So I was told this was part of the anodization process. Not sure why they would need to do this seeing as other anodized aluminum doesn't have a spot where it was held but whatever. My issue was that the screw provided would not properly thread in to the hole. They did send me a new unit and the same bare aluminum spot was on that one as well but this time the screw threaded properly.

 

Anyone got a photo of this item installed other than a closeup of the affected hole in the part? I can't tell what this is...

 

Could that bare spot be a place for a power grounding connection?
