I have an '18 TRD Prem. I have had:a Jeep,a Bronco, and a Blazer. All were 4 wd. They never seemed tippy to me but that was in FL with straight roads.I now live in the mountains of E.TN and there are no straight roads.
My question is,how much should I worry about rollover? I have a '15 Mustang GT that I drive the way it was designed to be driven. I dont expect the 4runner to be a sports car but would like to be able to keep up with most cars in turns if possible.

Oranges and apples. Respect that it is a 4wd suv, not a car, and you will be just fine. There will be no problem driving posted speed limits and even a little more spirited. My 4Runner with kdss handles the mountains like a good suv should.

Thanx, I was assuming this to be the case but wanted to hear from people that have been driving a 4runner 4 awhile.

I recently upgraded the front struts to Toytec Boss with the 650 pound springs. It reduced braking nose dive immensely. Therefore it feels a lot more stable now. I only lifted it 1" over stock height.

I have not really tested a high speed swerve so I can't say how it handles that. Hope I don't have to either.

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
As long as you aren’t taking curves like you’re driving the F1 circuit, you’ll be fine.

I drive the Colorado Rockies regularly and have no problems going the speed limit through curves, and I am lifted 2+ inches. It handles curves better than my Rubicon did, but it is not a sports car.

First vehicle with KDSS, performs better than my '98 Tacoma with Kings and sways still in and the T4R is heavier. "(Respect that it is a 4wd suv, not a car, and you will be just fine.)" so true.

it's hard to convey sarcasm in text. the drive will most definitely not be a sports car, drive it like a truck and you'll be fine. mine is sitting +4" and it handles fine. I've driven on all sorts of roads. back countryTN included

Actually, the fact it mentions the 4runner doesn’t suffer rollover issues makes it relevant. Maybe you shouldn’t be so quick to get defensive.

This is a physics question. Anything can rollover, given certain variables are met such as speed, centripetal/centrifugal force, width of tires, vehicle weight, center of gravity, pitch of the road, gear in/on top of vehicle, so on, and so on...

There is no other answer with respect to being "prone" to rollover other than "it depends": with the right combination of variables, a '15 mustang GT can rollover. And your expectation that the 4runner will keep up with most cars in turns is a poor expectation, unless you put on a supercharger; even then I'll deflect back to my answer on the variables involved: a '15 GT will take a certain degree corner at 50 mph better than a supercharger-equipped 4runner going at the same speed. Again: physics.

I've seen a Humvee rollover; couple of paratroopers having too much fun on guard duty.

Well I left the liqour store sideways today (pre jim beam) did awesome, but then I'm a buldozer operator and run 2:1 slopes all day, sway and lean don't worry me. Mine with a lift should be able to traverse a 2.5:1.
