What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Very happy with my deal. Other than I paid way more than my 16 trail premium with kdss ‍♂️. I’m looking for 20+ years from her.

 

Some years ago I bought a kit from Jesse, which I think he still makes:

I got my 2024 and nothing major had changed between years, so I used the knowledge and experience from the original install, and installed only the button, not the window switch.

You basically are tapping a wire in the door ECU and switching it to ground. Reach out to Jesse for details as he did the legwork on this and I don't want to rob him of a sale.

 

I have a '19 SR5 and mine is grey/silver too. I'd like to make mine black but haven't really looked into it, I'll be watching to see if someone knows if you can buy a black one from Toyota.

 

Looks good! Just installed mine along with the AJT button as well.

That ring took me longer to install than I'd like to admit xD

That's awesome you aren't rubbing on the plastic fender. Mine was rubbing on the fender like crazy after with -25 offset & 285/75/17 Geolanders.

I also had minwin3d for few thousand miles and some snow/trails and they held up great but moved on the C4 OTF, just installed this weekend still waiting some seam sealer and paint to arrive to finish it up.

Not a fan of the drone from the TRD exhaust. Just ordered the Tanabe Revel Trail Hart with dump tip.

 

Please update how it compares to the trd pro exhaust both from inside the cabin and outside once you’ve had a chance to try it. Thanks!

Hated mine for first couple thousand miles. Seems to have settled down (whether that exhaust or engine break in… or just my hearing

 

Enjoyed driving to work on the new IMS setup.

Funny it actually drives great on 34s even with stock gears.
285/75/17 are a great fit for the 4Runner IMO.

 

I have 295/70R17 now. Debating on going with 285/75R17 for my next set of tires.

 

Depends a lot on the brand. It was between the 285/75/17 AT4W or the 295/70/17 MT Baja boss AT. Very close in size according to the manufacturer

 

My Greenlane-palooza continues. Got the roof rack installed today. Only big thing left for phase one is the wee widdle wadder. : )

 

Looks great. I am sure you have their ladder as well....

 

You know it, @TRDGrey2021 ! LOL. The 8 pound weight of the ladder is what first drew me into their product line. The quality and strength of the US Dollar vs the Canadian Dollar hooked me.

 

TRD or Tanabe?

 

After I changed one of my TPMS sensor 6 months ago my TPMS light was on again today.
A quick scan revealed 1 sensor out, 1 sensor with low battery and 1 sensor working.
Since I was still running OEM sensors, they would all be going out sooner than later.
Went to discount tire and got 3 new sensors and got some tire balancing done.
That TPMS light better not come on now till I own this bread box.

100%. Same thing which got me, plus it is not what is mounted on every other 4runner in the US.

 

Just placed these lamin-X fog light protectors on . Definitely a lot to trim to get it on the Limited.

Paid off the 4runner and Tundra same day. Best mod

 

Installed the Entune 3.0 w/ retrofit wiring harness from AutoHarnessHouse.com... what a game changer. Wanted to keep the OEM look.

 

I installed a CBI Covert front bumper with a 12000 lb Harbor Freight winch and did a lift with the Ironman 4x4 foam cell pro stage 2. So far love everything and the winch works great. Once I wear these tires out new tires will be next!

 

I haven’t done it yet, but I ordered 5x SCS Ray10 on the machined lip preorder in 17x8.5 gunmetal.

 

So far mine doesn't seem to be letting any water in. The one from 4Runner Lifestyle seems to have thicker weatherstripping applied to it than OEM, that may be a factor.
