Kdss sucks on dirt roads/washboards at speeds.

kdss is great for slow off roading (articulation) or avoid body roll when going faster on pavement

 

I can’t complain about buying the PRO. It is pricey if your going to strip it down and build it back up with aftermarket.

 

Couldn’t agree with you more. Got a couple jeeps myself. Never had KDSS so not sure of how good it is.

 

You can disconnect the swaybar on all Wranglers, Rubicon is eletronic and convenient. And KDSS shines more on the road, offroad is just a bonus

 

Does Rubicon have solid front axle and sway bar disconnect?

 

I read that KDSS was the invention of an Aussie company. They sold it to Toyota, Toyota refined it and started putting it in their vehicles. A pretty unique system if you think about it.

 

The JL Wrangler is nothing like the JK and TJ, they are very comfortable for what they are. The V6 is is smoorh and the ZF transmissiin is phenomenal

-its kind of an apples and oranges comparison. Nothing is great compared to solid axle with disconnect. Shouldn't compare KDSS or XREAS or PRO fox setup to a solid axle, period imo

 

They are pretty good, the only problem is the Jeep tax which breaks your back. You can configure a 2024 two-door Rubicon X with the Recon package for over $80,000. A great thing with this new Recon package is that you can ask the dealer to mount 37s, and it will not void the warranty, and it will have zero rubbing. But I wouldn't do that. I would buy a TJ for 15, and then rebuild it.

 

Exactly! There is a reason "PRO envy" is a thing...JS and 90% owners of non-pros change looks to PRO facia, wheels, rack, you name it...

 

In terms of ride manners, I’ve never felt as planted in my TJ as in my 4R. Granted the TJ is on 35s and a solid front axle so apples to oranges here. In terms of engine both 4.0L 6 cylinders are more reliable than the JK and JL so no complaints there. TJ is obvi more fun than the 4R when rock crawling not just because of the tires and axle but also because mine has a stick. But the 4R easily beats the TJ when going far away on pavement to get to dispersed camping trails or “high speed” desert off roading. I’m getting sidetracked… lol

I got my pro last month with no markup. they had a 10,000 mark up on it originally and i said im not paying that, and they said ok haha
