A Warthog Should Have Tusks

First of all, I know everyone calls them fang lights but the upward curvature reminds me of tusks, not fangs.

Second, the term Warthog is a testament to the old fashioned rugged dependability and stellar capability of the 5th gen 4Runner. Similar to the Republic A-10 Warthog.

I would like to have the "tusks" visible as DRL as well as when the headlights are on. Yellow sequential turn signals are a must have too.

I like these, but they don't seem to have a headlight function, only DRL and sequential turn signals.

When I lived in Southern Indiana, my house was located just North of a large military installation. There was a strafing range for the Indiana Air National Guard on the South end. The A-10s would make their final turn just East of my house for the strafing runs about 5 miles to the South. A few moments latter I would hear the brrrrtttttttttt, brrrrtttttttt.

During deer season there would be a special draw hunt and we would sometimes cross the hill near the end of the range. They had tires lined up in a staggered pattern to guide the fire onto large targets

 

As is the 5th Gen 4RUNNER.

Those do what you want. I'm not a fan of tapping the fuel injection fuse for lights, if I get around to buying something like this I'll probably run it to an open circuit in the switch panel. Mainly want a more noticable turn signal.

 

One of the reasons the A-10 was nicknamed "Warthog" is because it's ugly. What kind of statement are you trying to make about your 4Runner? At least the A-10 backs it's ugly up with some serious power.

 

I think of it like this: The A10 Warthog has been around for a long time (it entered service in 1977). It's dependable, reliable, capable and effective.
The same can be said about the 4Runner, specifically the 5th gen. It's been around for a long time (going on 16yrs for this body style). It's dependable, reliable, capable and effective.
