Will 8 inches wide wheels with a 10mm offset fit?

Hi, I am planning to replace the tires and wheels on my 2022 TRD Off-Road 4Runner. I aim to equip it with Toyo Open Country III tires. I've found a set of used XD Series XD811 17" wheels, which are 8 inches wide with a 10mm offset. Will these wheels be compatible with my vehicle without causing any rubbing, affecting handling, or stressing the components? I also need to know if these wheels will extend outside the fenders, as I think it's illegal where I live in Quebec, Canada.

I tried to figure it out using this website, but I lack the minimal required tire knowledge to find my answer. Thanks

 

It'll fit, but you'll rub a little more than you would with stock sized tires.

Stock wheels generally have a small positive offset. +10 shouldn't rub with Stock size tires. -10 wheels will almost certainly rub, even with stock size tires.

I would think who your buying the rims from could provide the compatibility specification to ensure they will work on the 4Runner.

 

I have -18 offset on 8.5" wheels and just barely rub while full lock in reverse. Very minor trimming of the front bumper edge and push the liner in a little. The stance is much better though. If you want a little more stance, I'd go with 0 offset or more.

 

Go to "willtheyfit.com", and play around with different tire sizes and wheel specs (to include offset). This site has helped me numerous times figure out if a different aftermarket setup will work on a variety of vehicles that I've owned.

Stock setup but upgraded 8" wide wheels with 265/70 Toyos won't rub. Even if it was -10mm, it would be minimal.
Your +10/8" wheels especially, and even -10 wheels, won't put stress on anything.
Handling totally fine.
+10/8" won't poke at all, and won't be flush. -10 won't be flush either but close.

SR5 7" wide, +15mm offset
TRD Pro 7" wide, +4mm offset

I went to 9" wide wheels, 0 offset, LT285/70's, 1.25" spacers pushing wheels to -32mm offset

 

Tire size? I’m looking at 17x8.5” but not sure if I want to run 0 or -12 offset. Still on stock suspension for the time being so may just stay with 265/70 but I really want a 275/70 but afraid the offset is going to cause more rubbing than I’d like!
