What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Installed OEM rear mud flaps on my 2011. Mine did not come with a set from the factory.

Tried the Husky, random Chinese brand and then OEM. Nothing came close to the fit of the OEM. There are a few more brands like Rokblokz and REk. Frankly dint like either.

 

Can you keep the Wiper fluid reservoir with the viper cut?

 

I pulled the trigger on an RCI roof rack and sliders taking advantage of their 15% off sale plus extra 10% off over $1k. I really like the design of their front fairing that matches the roof/windshield contour instead of the weird reverse curve everyone else seems to do that just looks awkward to me. I went with 5 degree plated sliders which should give me enough of a foothold for reaching the roof. Also ordered 4 1-Up bike trays to mount on the roof rack to go along with my 4 bike Super Duty hitch rack when I need to transport a bunch of bikes. My Pro roof rack and Predator steps will be available once I receive and install these, if anyone in the metro NY area is interested, send me a message.

 

Please stop reminding me about no moonroof options in 4runners. I HATE MOONROOFS and many times wish my 4runners have no moonroofs.

 

Me too. I never use mine and wish It wasn't there.

 

I wish mine wasnt there, but I do use it often. Much better air flow with the moon roof and back window both open a couple inches.

Since I definitely need more roof lights that I hardly ever use, made an 80/20 mount adapter to bring them lower and clear the rack verticals. Will squeeze in one more soon.

I need to do that so bad! I also need to get tires on my trail rims soon! Do you know if they have the same centercaps as the regular OR rims? I haven't found that answer yet and can't tell from pics, nor have a found a different part number so I'm assuming so.

 

New shoes put on and a fresh coat of mud installed courtesy of last night's storms. Haven't put many miles on these tires yet, but, so far I am really liking these Destination XTs.

Lol. Thank you Toyota for hiding the 3 gallons in there. So when the light pops up at below 25, you have a good 4 gallons in the tank, and when "Refuel", you have 3.

 

I imagine that color would be the only difference but they look identical and I can't find a different number so I'm pretty sure they share the same center cap.

 

I had Victory 4x4 Strike sliders put on a couple weeks ago. I prefer the look of tube sliders plus snow not building up on treads. But their tube design looked unfinished without the tread plate.

Received them today and put them on.

Used them as a step .. as soon after we were bombed by some geese going over..I was able to get to the roof for some cleanup.

 

Got ceramic tint. 35% front, 80% rears (no added darkness)

 

TRD Sport gang rise up! Gave her a bath today since pollen season is upon us. Will be nice and shiny for a day . Last couple weeks I put TrD CAI and the TRD Exhaust on as well. Highly debated topic, but there is definitely a boost in power. Subtle? Yes. Non-existent? I don’t think so. She’s not an overlander…yet. Eyeing a nice roof rack with light bar next. Maybe spacers to put some AT tires on once the Yoko Geolanders wear out. I’m thinking about powder coating the stock wheels matte black to achieve the full blackout look too. Saw that on a local TRD Sport and it looked sick. Also dig the Molle panels for the rear interior windows with the shelf. Too many things, not enough USD

Brought it home...I've been driving a 2nd Gen Tacoma for years. The 4R feels like a tank compared to my truck. I mean that in a good way. This thing is solid. Love the way it drives.

 

I bought mine one year ago. 3-13-23. I let it have the day off.


Really haven't done much since last spring when I got it. Some little things here and there. I think it's about time for a roof rack though.

 

Added some Falken Wildpeak AT4s today...

Fixed annoying subwoofer-induced door-panel resonating rattle in my new 24. I was going to take the door panel off and do a serious investigation but first I just tried tightening the screws, which solved the problem. The one by the door lock was tight, but I was able to tighten the other two a few turns. Highly recommend if your audio rattles the truck with heavy bass. None of the other doors has an issue.

nah, i like the little chrome flair on the cap.

 

Looks good. Actually looks darker than 35% and 80% over factory.
My JLUR was 20% front and 20% over 20% factory and this looks closer to that.

 

Glad you're happy with it. It does look incredibly nice on the white. I love that white.
