I took it to firestone, at first I was buying the unlimited alignment for $169, then after seeing the guy struggle trying to align my less than 2” lifted 4Runner and thought he was causing damage than doing anything good I backed out... paid for 1 alignment . It took them Almost 3 hours. The caster is not set correctly. He got out a measuring tape and measured the distance from outside tire to the fender to measure caster and it was 1/4” difference. It drives straight and the steering whee is slightly not straight. This is even after they asked me to sit in the 4Runner on the lift and tell them when it’s straight!!

Where is a trust worthy, experienced place who can align lifted vehicles and has good equipment? In SLC, UTAH.

4wheel parts are across the states and does nothing but lifted vehicals, but it costs $180. Im lucky i have a reputable local shop that does nothing but lifted and lowerd stuff for $100

I would imagine that that varies by location. The one in Richmond, Va did a damn good job on my alignment. Granted the price is high, but after trying 3 other places closer to me that couldn't get it aligned for crap.......

They have a vendetta against you if you say its a Toyota, at my location, they said they did not want to touch it unless it was an alingment only, but i would assume being a 4x4 shop it would be a good alingment. Usually any shop that specializes in lifts will have a good alingment

Well I guess my suggestion of Firestone lifetime alignments isn't gonna work for OP... but my Firestone is fucking awesome.

Yea it really boils down to the tech. I know the guy was trying but if your not working on lifted rigs all day, it might be harder to master.

I had toyota do the alignments on my old Tacoma and old 2010 4Runner. Everything except caster was in spec on stock UCA’s. Had 4WP do the alignment on my current rig and as expected the caster was out of spec but toe and camber were in spec. Steering wheel is straight and tracks just fine

LoL..these guys here busted my balls a little bit about the 4R , but it was good natured. Mainly concerning how expensive stuff is for the Toyotas, like bumpers, compared to Jeep. They had a good looking jeep in the bay next to mine.

I'll give them credit, they trimmed the bottom of my front bumper lip and adjusted the fenderwell liner (had new tires installed) to keep them from rubbing without charging me for it.
