After being on there for 3 years, peeled the PlastiDip off, as it was peeling off. While it is a simple application, and I thought it looked good, I am not sure I want to do it again. Maybe.

I decided you were right, one of my zombie lights should be lighting up the cargo basket itself..genius.

I started mad scientist work today on an adjustable mounting arm, made from painted 3/4in steel round bar with rubber caps.
Offroad light bolted on at the top with ss hardware.
I'm fastening the arm parallel off the 1" rack bar, it pivots on a 5/16 ss hinge bolt + rubber washers.
Hoping I simply loosen bolt then swing the thing upright, lock in place with its wing nut & lock washer.
Still fabricating bracing, and "holder" for its down rest position!

 

I've 3D printed such things, this TORMAC is for making something out of a metal alloy.

What trail was this?

 

Route 12 - Bulldog canyon near Apache Junction. It's an easy trail with some side rocks to play on. It's close to the house and is a great trail for a shakedown run.

The color contrast on the wheels goes well with the color contrast black to white on the body.

I'm thinking about removing the garnish this weekend to add PPF and a gasket. I like the washer ideal too. Do you think having it raised off the tailgate will allow water to get behind the garnish and inside the tailgate?

Did rear brakes and rotors today. What a fucking pain in the ass.

 

Took a drive up to Spirit of 1876 and picked up a Sherpa Crestone roof rack and took advantage of the nice weather and threw it on. Super easy install, did it by myself in just over 2 hours.

just dealing with the parking brake. Aligning a hole, shoving a screw driver through hole and finger fucking it until it releases your caliper.

when I do brakes, what should be easy is never easy.

 

Acetone is pretty strong stuff. Did you use it to determine the condition, or was the purpose of the acetone to melt/dissolve off the plastic transfer from the impact?
