Gonna be towing a trailer across the country and am looking to install some air bags on my 2018 SR5. I can’t find any listings for air springs for it except for part #60714 from JC Whitney. Seems to be a general application kit.

A little reluctant to install when they’re the only one showing a part number. Any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Brian

Well.....I looked everything over and the bags looked like the right size for the springs so I went for it.

They were really easy to install and took me about 2 hours. The biggest pain in the neck was cutting off the rubber isolator segments inside the coil springs. They’re going to be perfect for towing a trailer cross country. I also had a tiny bit of reverse rake going on after my leveling kit was installed, but with only 2psi over the minimum running pressure it raised the rear an inch and still rides smoothly. 68211B72-6BAA-4C5A-812C-6EF88A61231C.jpg48411FC9-F5B9-43E5-8CE8-7F8B5C53C05A.jpg F2574BBF-13AC-4922-A8B0-C40080AAD33D.jpg5B28A402-7C1E-4491-A726-814FEC712ADD.jpg

    That turned out nice.

Who makes the Air Bags? How much weight are they rated for?

    Air Lift #60714

They say up to 2000lbs leveling capability. It came with two air valves and a T fitting so you could run each bag independently or use the T simultaneously.

I just installed these as well. After isntlaling I towed two jet skis on a 1,300 mile round trip and really felt a positive difference in the level towing of the trailer. B88D9E63-C2B0-45E2-ACE5-1AB2CF3C8CDC.jpg

Just finished the 2500 mile trip pulling a trailer across the US. The air bags did a great job and we had zero issues.

    Car/trailer=5500 lbs
4 people plus exerything we could fit in the two cars

    Averaged 13mpg at 70mph.

Bringing this thread back to life!

I'm looking to do something just like this, i.e towing a car whenever I need to, on a u-haul trailer. In addition to the airbags, did you install anything else to support the tow? Total towing weight may be around 5-6k lbs.
