I did the same thing a few weeks ago and replaced the license plate hardware with stainless steel button head allens.

The 2 holes at the bottom of the plate I ended up just cutting a little electrical tape into a circle. Works well on the dark michigan plate. Holes disappeared

Absolutely. Cost $35 for a can of bed liner, masking tap, scuff pad and drop cloths. Took my time to mask everything off really well and no overspray anywhere.

 

I would love to hear more about this magic box. Is it the ones that let you watch youtube and netflix etx on the screen?
Or is it just for wireless carplay??

Update! I posted up last week that I received only 1 fob/key with my '23 SR5. The dealer I purchased from got me a OEM fob/key but had to get the key cut and fob programmed by the Toyota dealer which I did 1 week ago today. Contacted Toyota and informed them of having to get a 2nd fob/key and paying to get it programmed and key cut in the amount of $173.98. Due to a chip shortage some models during the Nov-Dec '22 production only came with one fob.

Toyota contacted me today and they're going to reimburse me $173.98 for the cost of programming and cutting the key. Great News!!

Was checking out the new kenwood unit w/ the garmin maps + hillshade.. but damn $1,700 for a head unit no thanks. I like your setup!

 

I took a sanding block to everything shiny in the cockpit. Everything.

 

I'm glad it worked out too! And, I hope this helps others missing that 2nd fob/key. Hoping they'll have the same outcome as me!

Received one of my TRD Pro wheels today, it does NOT come with a center cap. I called the dealership I bought it from and they were not aware of that and had to call me back to make sure. Nope, no center cap.

Needless to say, Im a little annoyed that its not listed ANYWHERE in the description that its not included.

 

Yes its dumb. Some postings will say it, toyotas website does not.

I hope that's for all four TRD center caps! I bought a set of Toyota center caps for some 17x7.5 Sequoia wheels I'm going to use, and I think they were about $40 on eBay. From what I remember, TRD caps were slightly more expensive.

 

It is for all four.

 

I changed my oil and installed the ValvoMax drain system. I also learned a few things during this process.

1) I found out like many others, the dealership uses bulk oil out of a drum that is not Toyota spec'ed oil.

2) They horrendously over tightened everything. I'm surprised nothing broke when I removed them.

3) I'll never take my 4Runner back to a dealer again as they don't even have a grasp of the fundamentals.

I got my Android Auto to play YouTube on my screen. I did it for the unlimited music. You have to download a couple of apps (Fermato Auto & AAAD) but it works and to me, the sound is so much better than satellite radio or the radio itself (depending on the video). Plus, if you have kids, they love watching all of the videos. Unfortunately, it used to play videos without commercials, but with the updates, the commercials play just like on YouTube on your computer. One day I will have to go in and delete the current versions to go back to a version that does not play the commercials. The apps are free too!

 

Do you drive around w/License plate "Whited Out?" Then why on line where people that are seeing are 100's-1000's miles away?? Asking for a friend

 

I'm going to assume it is as the material is the same as the OEM plug and more importantly, it's the same size.

 

Because I don't want the internet scammers to be able to look up my address and information.

 

I have dropped a world of crap down there. Suggest a solution.
