Fb market place 4.88s diffs (mechanical question)

There is an add for 2 new differentials 8" Toyota with 4.88 gears but they both have lunch box lockers in them. Can the auto lockers be pulled off and the elocker from oem go in the rear? If so is this super hard to shim after locker removal? Is it even doable because they are for sure priced to sell.

 

I could be mistaken, but i thought the 5th gens. have a bigger diff. Like 8.2 or 8.5

 

Good now i don't have to worry about it lol. 1k for both diffs is good deal plus you keep your oems and don't have to send in a core.

 

You could call a parts department and find out for sure.

 

It’s an 8” clamshell and 8.2 rear, so yeah, save your money
