Decided to drop in after the spam got unbearable at another well known 4Runner forum.

Picked up my 2018 TRD ORP back in February of this year and within 24 hours was making changes. I don’t have a crazy build thread and don’t plan on going too crazy just yet. I’ll be taking weekend trips with my wife and son maybe once or twice a month for some camping and off roading.

Realizing I don’t have any “current” pictures of the truck... I’ll have to work on that.

Looking forward to exploring this forum a bit more.

I ended up dipping it for now. I’ve done vinyl wraps in the past but for this having a few compound curves and being off the truck it was easier to dip.

I wouldn’t have been able to pull and stretch the vinyl like I’d want to off the truck and on the truck it would have been a weird angle.

Ya if only I was that confident. I’m pretty mechanically inclined but lack the tools to tackle this install. The back seems super simple but the front needing spring compressors and disconnecting tie rods and sway bars...

I’m really just looking at the FJ TRD Pro kit that’s on sale, slight lift in the front and maybe some longer springs in the back too.

I took my coils and shocks to a local tire shop and had them assemble them for $60 bucks. Was totally worth it. You don't have to mess with the tie rods and the sway bar is two bolts.

I've done two lifts using a spring compressor, and my most recent using a local shop to build them. I'll never mess with a spring compressor again haha.

I hate you, just bought the suspension kit hahaha wife didn’t want a “big lift” with our 9 month old... fair. 1” in the front and nothing in the rear right now seems right for our needs.

Just need to figure out which top hats to go with on them and then find a tire shop to assemble them.

I’m hoping this is as simple as you say or I’ll be headed to VA for help! Haha

Man, no one in the Charlotte area will even assemble the shock and spring for me..... I’ve called 4 local shops, everyone said I had to buy the parts from them.

Kit arrives tomorrow which is awesome though!

After much research I am seeing just how easy it is to install but it’s very specific with how it’s installed which is why I’m not sure I would trust a shop to mount the rear res correctly or use he right spring perch up front....
