I'm absolutely new to all this stuff, and I apologize for a possibly redundant post. I have a 2023 SR5 Premium with stock wheels and tires. Nothing wrong with them, but I really do not like the chrome and would like black. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a SR5P and loathe the snowflake wheels. The design is hideous to me personally.

I got the OR wheels and dipped them black.

I love it! Exactly what I am wanting to do. Pardon my ignorance, what does 'OR wheels' mean? I'm such a green horn.

If the OR wheel came from the factory in black, Id already have a set. Im just not willing to buy wheels I have to dip.

TRD Pro wheels will be the way.

Hey OP if your not wanting to budget aftermarket wheels, or trade/pay to swap to other Toyota trims wheels, you're option is to paint the ones you have.

Iunno if I'd recommend Plastidip, I would rather do the work to sand the wheels properly then spray paint black with paint that adheres to that material. Still gunna chip off and need touch ups, but ya.

I just used the Search here feature for a while. I can't find any related threads on painting sr5 wheels for you, surprisingly.
    Goodluck!

Krylon Fusion paint in Satin black is the ticket!

Do you think I can get away with spraying them without taking them off? :)

if youre going to do it right, take them off. Make sure you clean off any surface contaminents and spray away.

I tried my hand dipping the wheels. Thanks for the tip. They turned out ok for a non-handy person. Cheers!

Looks good man. I'm a horrible painter and dip is very forgiving. Lol. Trick is to put many layers on the make it thick enough to peel. They don't look that horrible black honestly.
