Just needed more space....3 kids and a 200lb doggo, the T4R just wasn't cutting it anymore. As much as I hated to see it go it was time to make a change for the family. Picked up a new 2018 Sequoia TRD Sport. Luckily the wife knows me all to well and let me pick the trim level that I wanted.

I know this is a pretty small and quiet community here on 4Runners.com but I always enjoyed that aspect of it. I'm a little lost for an internet home right now. There is no soccer mom Sequoia forum, sooo if it's okay with you guys can I still hang around here for a while?

That thing is nice. I bet it cost a pretty penny too! How does it drive?

Drives better and smaller than I expected actually. Feels more like driving my Wife's Highlander than my 4R which surprised me. Plenty of power out of the 5.7L. Yes it wasn't cheap, but it was a manager's demo so I got it $2000 below invoice.

As of now just a leveling kit and new rims and tires along with LED lights inside and out. Much more to come...
Beautiful new ride and beautiful doggo!
    That's a big boy!
I used to have a 120lb Cane Corso such a great dog! (they gotta be related some how lol)

Thanks...love Corso's! I beleive Corso's are tecnically Italian Mastiffs. Brogan is an English Mastiff.

True! I knew they had the mastiff in common though.
Great family dogs and awesome guard dogs!
I remember my boy was just an alarm system and you definitely didn't want to find out if his bite was as bad as his bark, but in reality he was just a sweet heart loved everyone!

Yeah I don't know anybody in their right mind that would want to break into our house when Brogan is barking. I really don't know what he would do (probably love them to death) but like you said I doubt anybody would really want to find out of if his bark was worse than his bite. For the most part he is a big baby and loves people, but when the kids are around he can be a bit protective with initial contact with new people and other dogs.

They do fit! Even with 3 car seats and 2 boosters! 6,5,3,2 and 1 yr olds lol! We primarily take the Odyssey when it’s the whole family but we do sometimes take the 4Runner.

Wow that is pricey. Maybe when the kids get older and we run outta room we will consider getting a used one!

Great looking family! Looks like us all crammed into my 4R. We all fit but it wasn't easy! The Sequoia is sooo much easier getting everybody loaded up. It has the 2nd row captains chairs so my 6 year old can just walk right back into the 3rd row without even having to duck down. I searched forever for a used one but Sequoia's are pretty rare so finding a low mileage used one with all the features I wanted was difficult, on top of that their resale value is high so even the used ones weren't much cheaper than a new one. Toyota's high resale vaule's can be a blessing and a curse.

Nice! I like the sequoia, and with your crew, I can see why it’s needed! Most importantly, you and your family are happy with it.

Fold them little ones in half and you can EASILY fit at least 2 more too, LOL (JK). Don't try that, folding kids could be frowned on my the local authorities.

Great family pics, they all look like they are having a great time in the 4R to me! ;)

Great post! I may make the transition someday but I will most likely also keep the 4Runner. Love it
