What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Gorgeous rig and setup, well done.

 

I got my Toyo's put on today and when they were driving the car out of the bay to me I swear I noticed crazy front driver side lean ... I'm on stock suspension, should that be really visible or should I have my suspension checked out.

Oh yeah, they also broke a tpms module. Good times

 

Hmm crazy like .5" or more like 1"+?

I need to get it back out of the garage after work and have a look at it as their lot may have had a lean too, which may have added to the effect, but still I wouldn't think I would feel I could see it that much. No suspension work so far and very little off road time, which was all just dirt/gravel roads) but I've felt like I noticed it before just not to this extent. But I don't know if I recall anyone saying anything about it on stock OR suspension before.

It drives straight and seems fine fwiw

 

All 4runners lean, heavy stuff is on the driver side.

 

Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to see something so I can justify some upgraded suspension to the wife haha

The 35s don’t rub at all but my wife saw a 4runner with viper cuts and wanted me to do that to hers. I’m not a big fan.

I'm lucky My wife claimed the FJ's were too big for her to drive, there's no way she'll drive this or my previous 4Runner & I had NO issues IF she wanted to, if fact it would've saved me some of "my time" picking up her things!!

 

Not keeping these, but they're kinda fun. What I really need are extra wide fogs to spot suicidal boars and coyotes.

 

Including some drivers. I need to loose some LBs.

 

Changed out headlights to add in a pair of GTR Carbide. I still have to adjust the level and the DRL issue, but I really like this look vs the Alpharex / Morimoto.

Went in to fix a leaky tire, left with a $$$ spare 285 on the factory steelie. I'll pick up a TRD wheel when it's time to rotate them.

 

Well received my Cali Raised interior Molly with upper shelf.. Love it and I like how CR is the only ones that extend all the way down.. Great product! Now I just need to buy more stuff to attach to it!! LOL. It NEVER stops!! LOL

 

I'm told it's pretty much the biggest that will (285/70 R17).



Front seat covers showed up; I'll give Marathon a slight nod over Coverking (rears) for fit. I should have got the "large" front pocket though, the small is really shallow.

 

Not something I did but something I just noticed / overlooked.
4Runner is port injection only. I overlooked the specs talking about direct ignition.

So you fixed a running tire flat, then swapped to a 285 on the steely?
I had a local little shop slap a FB marketplace load e 285 (Kumho) on my steely.
I've had a heck of a hard time confirming the width and exact weight of my '16 Trail steely.

Got my LED's for Interior/Puddle/License Plate lights. Gonna do that tomorrow. Not sure if I'll do license plate ,no big woo just 4 screws so see how the mood goes.

 

(last weekend)rebuilt/reattached bedslider, now it is tied into the front and rear (rear) seat mounting points. installed packout bases from work van and added a 3/4" strip of horse mat to the center to slide in a 6' ladder as needed. also replaced the existing 3/4" plywood under back half of bedslider with another piece of 3/4" horse mat...way, way better! bedslider unloaded or loaded is dead silent in all traffic conditions.

(this weekend) I finally installed my rocksliders. these were designed and built for the maine woods use by me and a friend of mine from recycled industrial 50kw generator 5/16" steel shipping 'U' brackets. they are super heavy and tied into the 13 (26 total) factory frame bolts on each side of the 4runner with a one piece 1/4" steel mounting flange . they are 100% open faced so no square/round tube to rot out in the future. besides being free steel stock, I overbuilt to be able to pull my 4runnner sideways if needed and 180 degrees which I had to do once while 4wheeling in a jeep on a hill in 6 inches of mud with a come-along.
