You think you could have gotten 285/75s under there without rub? BMC?

I mean without looking at your profile, if you have info, it's hard to say. Cuz I have a 3/2 suspension lift and SPC UCA's @ near 3.8⁰ castor.
But, with that said ;
With the setup I mentioned, I didn't rub anything, except for bottom of inner front fender during full lock which my shop took a Dremel to (very common).

The key to my no rub was also surely 0 offset wheels.

The key to my trajectory rubbing like crazy was adding 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers into the mix. I used red Loctite lmao so a BMC happened asap

 

285/75 will rub more than 285/70 cuz 75's are true 33's, 33.8" actually

Looks like a clean BMC. Nicely done. I have a similar setup but am too lazy to type it all into my profile. So you kept the spacers or took them off with the new MT wheels?

 

LT285/70R17 Toyo AT3 on 17x8.5 Fuel Anzas with -6 offset. No BMC. Very minor rub when fully stuffed and the wheels turned left

 

New setup(well atleast tires)

thanks bud, ya BMC was so good the dude was a pro. at the same time I had him mod for 35's if you look close in that photo;
fender liner trim between body mount and fender mount + wheel well hammering, fender mount chop n weld, black spray paint everything. even my valance caps r removed now, further inner fender chop behind wheel in November. I want 1" body lift last

*No, I didn't remove the spacers, I accommodated them and then some. I was implying the red Loctite was permanent and I couldn't turn back lol

 

Ahh. Now I get the locktite joke haha. Took me a bit there!! Good stuff overall!

Anyone have any experience or pictures with Nomad Wheels? I noticed on their configurator menu if you have stock they have wheel available for 4Runners but when you switch to lifted (3") they go away. I love the look of them, but couldn't find any 4Runners that run them (even on their Instagram).

 

I have a set of nomad wheels mounted on some 265 blizzaks i plan to run eventually this winter just havent put them on yet. I am debating even putting them on because i like my 285 KO2's and TRD wheels so much.

 

Dang so no pictures?! HAHA I have debated the same thing. In my mind I would rather spend the money on some other mods, but I like the classic look of the nomads. I love them on the old Land Cruisers - just haven't seen them on 4Rs.

 

I only have pictures of the wheels and tires off the car, if i end up putting them on ill post a picture. I normally wouldnt run winter tires/wheels with my 4R but I got a deal that i couldnt refuse on these.

TRD Pro knock offs. Love them. Flat black and wider than the OEM ones. I'm not willing to spend a lot on wheels just to beat the hell out of them on rocks. Can easily hit these with flat black paint lol.

Tires are Cooper Rugged Trek. My new favorite tires. I've had MTRs, KM2s and Duratecs on my Jeep and for an all terrain these are everybit as grippy in wet muddy conditions as those. Ride fantastic on the highways!

 

Looks great. Do those center caps fit OEM TRD wheels?

 

Hey, I love the wheel setup. I have the same year/spec 4runner. Are the wheels a direct fit? Plug and play? I'm only asking because I've been seeing mixed reviews about installing trd wheels on a orp. You need to trim fender, etcs to prevent rubbing. Mines is stock, and I plan to keep it like that for while. Thanks
