Front bumper issue

Thank you! Now to figure out how to attach some wire to that corner of the bumper cover just under the headlight...

I'm not seeing any recovery brackets in those photos...!

 

As you can see in the photos above, there doesn't seem to be any metal on the back of the OR bumper cover...

 

Recovery's were soft installed and always planned to come back off to drill two holes each side. I was saying somewhere else on here that the sway bar + cylinder are in the way need a good 27/64 impact bit to throw onto my extension bit in order to hit it straight on

 

Drilling time in the garage is being ruined by two kids under 2-1/2 and mom and I work full-time lol

Are you referring to my fix in the other thread?
I used wire cause that's the first thing I found laying around.
You can use double sided tape and stick something off similar thickness in the "yellow" area.

If I had to do it again, I would get some small stick-on rubber feet, cut it to size and stick it into the bracket.

 

I think I get what you're saying now...it took a while to figure out where that "yellow" area was. I'm thinking you're talking about just below the point in the bumper cover that's below the passenger side headlight, circled in yellow below:



I would just have to get the nerve to pull it all off to see exactly what your solution involves...thanks.

 

Yea, just refer to my pictures in the other thread for the "yellow" area.
Once you pull off the bumper, it'll all make sense.

 

For what it's worth, my front bumper cover had these gaps on both sides. Attributed it to taking off the cover too many times for lighting mods. Came across the following link and ordered the replacement brackets (a bit pricey to buy when not covered under warranty). Installed this myself about a month ago and it's holding up well so far and looks great.

My passenger side needs help, and isn’t too bad, so maybe this might work for me…
