Help with my lift purchase-KDSS

With Black Friday deals upon us and more importantly the green light with the wife, I'm spending some money on my new 23 ORP w/ KDSS. I just rolled over 1000 miles. Tonight I ordered some bronze Icon Alloy Rebounds 0mm offset.

And Eibach stage 2 lift.

I thought I was able to wait on modding for a little while, but the stock rake made it look like a soccer mom mobile. 2.5 inch difference front/rear. I sold my old 2nd Gen Tacoma that was lifted and perfect aside from the miles creeping up there.

Because I'm a noob with the T4R, I'm asking for a little help on what else I should be thinking about. This rig won't be rock crawling anything crazy. More or less cruising some very unmaintained forest roads to hunting camp etc. I've scoured the forums and will probably get JBA UCAs too, if needed. All I'm looking to do is get a modest lift that will clear 285s maybe 275s.

What's foreign to me is the KDSS. I've seen spacers and brackets from DrKDSS. What all is needed?

I went with Australian Emu BP-51. I have 2023 with KDSS and on 285/75/R17s(33.8 inches). If you don't mind super crappy gas mileage then go with 285/75s. Aussies know A LOT about KDSS on Prados and stuff, you can't go wrong with EMU. I am satisfied.

Your truck looks great. I had OME on my Taco. Great suspension. The OME is out of my budget on this one. Was there anything specific to KDSS you had to do? I'm only looking to level it out really.

or you can go with the Nitro Gas kit and get the same lift for a little less, and less adjustability but still set up for KDSS

got the lift I wanted 2.5 front/2.0 rear, no lean, no issues

 

I'm lifted with KDSS, approximately 2.5/1.5". I didn't do anything with the system, and I don't have any problems. The general consensus is to keep the lift modest with KDSS

If you're not lifting over 2.5", you might not need UCA's. You actually might have a better chance clearing 285's with stock UCA's, as long as you get a good alignment guy.

Lift doesn't actually clear tires, it just hides the rubbing until you flex the suspension. There are some exceptions to this, but they don't apply to your situation.

Personally, I'd go with an SL 285/70/17 in your shoes, over a 275 which I'm pretty sure are only available in LT load ranges. There are plenty of options for good looking AT's that won't totally ruin your ride quality. I don't recommend anything bigger than a 285/70/17, unless you enjoy terrible fuel economy and don't mind cutting your body mounts.

I love how much clearance I have now with my 34s. When I was stock, kdss skid plate was awfully low

 

I drove extremely consideratively today, and I managed 16.5 mpg, and that included my wheeling miles. It's not too terrible
