We’re glad w found a 4 runner forum! Our passenger seat heater stopped working and were wondering if anyone else has/had this problem?

I own a 2016 Toyota 4Runner Trail Premium and so far I’ve not had that issue… However I just took it to dealership to have the front driver side door lock actuator replaced before the 36,000 mile warranty expired! … that’s the only issues I have had since I purchased it in December, 2016.

Have you check wiring harnesses under seat to see if it got unplugged accidentally?

Yes, both of us checked underneath to make sure there was no disconnections and also checked the fuses. I think we are pretty close to the 36k mileage too but I’m going to double check it now.

I’d take it in even if you’re 200 miles over; if it’s a good dealership service department they will get comps on parts & labor anyway; plus if they do the work as per warranty it should be guaranteed at least 90 days if seat heaters stop working again … Good Luck and I wonder if anyone else in our forum has had issues …

We’re under 36k so we’ll contact the dealership on Monday. Wish us luck! The only thing bad about this Toyota experience has been dealing with dealerships. (From finding the 4Runner, buying it and having them cross thread the plate during an oil change!).

Yeah I know what you mean about trusting service department at dealerships; I’ve done the last oil changes myself … second oil change the dealership here in Nashville broke one of the bolts that hold the skid plates under bumper off and did not say anything … that was it for me … even if they give you free maintenance; I’ll do my own…

Good Luck and make sure you take recent pics before leaving it to be worked on … in & outside of vechicle.

Same thing happened on my sr5p. Dealer changed out the switch and it works again.

Yes, we had to have our switch replaced too. Just curious if yours was the passenger seat too?
