Entune Premium reboot after battery is disconnected

    Getting ready to install a CAI on my 2017 TRD Pro. I have to disconnect the battery as per instructions.
    What if any effect will this have on the Entune system and will I need to initialize the total system ?

    disconnecting the battery will cause problems if more than 10 min.. CAI will not help this engine in any way .. its a V6 engine low power .. if you have a 400HP or higher and you bring to track then it is a good add on ..

    pure waste of you $$$ and time ...useless

    Thanks for your input but not entirely accurate!
    My friend has same truck and installed same unit I am. MPG and throttle response improved.
    And please don’t comment on what I do with my time and money!

    I’ve disconnected the battery for 40-50 minutes while installing my lift and I don’t recall if I had to initialize the system afterwards. I hooked the batter back up and it was still paired with my phone and retained all the saved destinations in the nav. IIRC the audio was off when I turned the vehicle back on.

    you my boss ? I just made a comment on your install .. you want to give a child in china some work I do not care at all.. this is not gonna do anything this is a low power V6 engine .. even a 5.7L engine this does not do anything ..
    air intake is very large on these so CAI is not gonna do anything . might create more noise when you floor it .

    you can get for about $800 a PCM that will increase HP and also the use of 93 octane .. company is in maryland .
    that will increase HP to about 40-50HP ..

    to give that china child more work install a dual exhaust with 3 inch pipes ...

    You made a completely irrelevant and misinformed comment.

    1: Disconnecting the battery for more than 10 minutes won’t do anything to the entune system.

    2: He didn’t ask about the usefulness of the tue CAI, he asked if disconnecting the battery would do anything to his infotainment system.

    3: You are now spouting off irrelevant twaddle and instigating someone who clearly doesn’t give a shit about your opinion.

    Bro enjoy your CAI intake I do and when you punch the gas it sounds LeBron James coming down the lane dunking on fools lol. I didn't have any issues when I reconnected my battery.

    37qt ARB fridge wired directly to battery with ARB Wiring Kit.

    The Toyota FSM shows that the Radio Receiver Assembly with or without Navigation System or DCM (Telematics Transciever) has a BUB (Back-Up Battery) inside of it. The BUB might explain why your destinations were saved.

    I'm reading this thread because I'm looking for guidance on how to replace the backup battery in my Entire Premium Navigation System.

    My scanner is saying that the Telematics Back Up Battery in my 2015 4Runner is defective.

    Any guidance in how to find, identify and replace this telematics back up battery will be greatly appreciated.
