1st time 4runner owner as of last Saturday and a long-time Jeep guy turned defector. I'm looking forward to learning from the knowledgeable people in this community.

It's a long story but I didn't order. About 3 weeks of scouring the web turned it up as a just delivered a few hours drive from me. Contacted the dealer and immediately put down a deposit over the phone. Hit the road the next morning and bought it. I tell you what my experience with car dealers was not pleasant overall. Dealer I bought from was great though.

It is pretty basic other than the TRD Pro standard options and the towing hitch. No cargo tray, all weather mats, crossbars, steps, chrome exhaust tip, etc. I didn't want the cargo tray because I regularly haul a drum set in road cases and large speaker cabinets in the 150-300lb range. It won't help me for that stuff and would just get in the way most likely. The rest of it I plan to go aftermarket for. I already put some Husky Liners weatherbeater matts and cargo liner in and I've got a set of RhinoRack bars coming so I can haul my kayaks. I'm probably going to do some steps or rock sliders next. I'm planning to leave it stock for warranty purposes until the 36/36 runs out but I can already tell it's going to be difficult.

Thanks for the vote of confidence...I'm already doing a whole lot of reading for mods I'm not planning to do for 3 years LOL. Only 3 weeks in.
