Black Emblem Kit

Guys...a quick youtube of my black emblem overlay kit install. I realize there are less expensive ways to go about this but due to limited time I decided to go this route. Took approx. 10 minutes.

 

Awesome mod, I wish they came like that from the factory. Got a link to where you got them from? I know one website was selling them but they were sold out forever.

Roger, how long ago did you order your black out kit? I ordered about 2 weeks back when the website said they were on back order.

 

Nice to see this. I have been thinking about ordering this for my 2016 Limited but I'm not sure how the "4Runner" on the back will look. On yours it is black with silver letters, so when you black out the letters it looks great! On the limited it is silver on silver, the kit from nox looks to just be the letters so it will be black letters on a silver base plate. Don't know how this will look. Hoping to see some pics from guys who have installed this on a Limited. Thanks again for your post!

Thanks. It looks good just wish they had a full black cover. I may need to try plasti dip. But I'm afraid to spray something on my truck.

 

How long did the kit take to ship ?

 

I got mine in slightly over 3 weeks.

 

Will these overlays fit on a third gen?

 

for what it's worth, I masked and shot the chrome emblems on my tacoma with black plasti-dip, and it's worked well.
these look good tho.

 

I got mine from Nox-Lux. at the time I ordered they had SR5's but no OffRoad. Had to wait about a month until they were back in stock.

Takes about 10 minutes to install and the fit and look are great.

Just picked these up myself from an ebay seller for $60 less than what Nox-lux sells them for...can't wait to put them on.

 

I put some eBay ones on, the seller was a Toyota dealer. They look great. I have 2 extra Sr5 overlays if someone needs them. 10 bucks shipped

 

Wait for eBay to run a 20 percent coupon. You can pick a set up on eBay from a Toyota dealer on eBay for around 70.00.

 

How often have you seen these coupons? I know they had one a couple weeks ago, and I’m kicking myself for not ordering something I wanted.

 

I saw the 20 percent coupon posted on here. So I am not sure how often they come out.
