Show your License Plate Frame

I don't really like using the dealerships license plate frame and am curious as to what others are using. Personally I don't care for the frameless look either.

I got this silicone one. Love it. Prevents scratching and I don’t get that cheap junky clanking noise when you close tailgate.

 

But how is anyone going to know it's you with four 12's in the back unless you "make it sound like aluminum cans in the bag"?

Open Road Toyota Dealership frames come white and turn yellow instantly. Hideous I say.
I run classic Toyota black frames

 

I like clean and simple, no markings. I have Weathertech "clear cover" frames, in Beluga Grey. They have clear covers. I have used a similar brand for almost 30 years now on all my cars. The Beluga Grey is a close match for Lunar Rock and blends in well.

Put these on my 4Runner and my wife’s car. Love them.

In a moment of insanity, I bought these. A bit of overkill. MO is one of those States that require two plates. Bit difficult to tell from the photo

That sounds cute! Honestly, I’m liking the idea of the silicon holder. It’s going to be a while before I can afford any large cosmetic changes. I’ve been looking at metallic wrap colors, but something muted and not bright.

But, in order of spending - emergency equipment for off road, seat covers & dog crates, then I can get to the looks.

 

May I suggest "Bronze Beast"? Or, resurrect the old FJ55 nickname "Iron Pig"! These are pretty inexpensive bolt ons!

 

It's illegal in TX to obscure any portion of a license plate.

The law is seldom enforced. But a license frame is used as probable cause to pull a vehicle over and search the driver and the vehicle.

So, in keeping with my life-long policy of avoiding Law Enforcement Interactions I never use a license frame...
