I am needing a new rear carpet mat, my old one fit my dads old 96 4runner and has had a beat down and is too small, looking bewtween the two brands any one have some insight, dont want anything that covers the hooks or slides around.

Weathertech rear liner is good for me. Doesn’t slide and gives access to the hooks. I don’t have experience with others, so I will post a pic so you can see how it fits. Good luck.

I wish they made one to fit my sliding tray. Husky is my only option.

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
Have you looked at the oem one? I have it on my sliding tray, it is slightly rubberized so stuff doesn’t slide around and covers up around the sides by the handle.

Me too. I have owned both and the Husky's are better and cheaper. I will only buy Husky's from now on, they are a great product.

I have the Husky - it is okay, but think that the Lip/edge could be a little less "tall". Had the WeatherTech on last vehicle. and had zero complaints, Either one will be good.

I added a strip of 1" Industrial Velcro to the underside of the mat, to keep it from sliding around. works great. When I pull out the tray the mat come with it and does not move.

Husky is a superior product. Had both brands and I believe husky has better coverage and nicer material.

I wish Husky made the X-act Contour for the 4Runner like they do the Tacoma. I didn’t see that option before ordering the Weathertech. I had a set of the X-act Contour for my Tacoma. They were awesome. I chose the Weathertech for my 4Runner over the Husky Weatherbeaters but I’m sure they’re nice, too.

The weatherbeaters fit amazing in my 4runner, no complaints. I think they are the better bang for the buck.

Thanks for all the insight, i will be purchaseing the husky liner. I like the idea of the big lip and thicker material. Also seems like the one in the picture is a custom fit since i have a standerd rear and has cut outs for the hooks.
