New to forum, thanks and I’ve read through so much already… thank god for this…

Getting my 2015 SR5 ready to tow a new 21’ 3200lb travel trailer.

looking on recommendations for receiver hitch to attach to my weight distribution hitch.

also looking to see if anyone has used a REDARC brake controller that can recommended a starting point for me?

also, forgive me for being naive, I’m trying though… but what is S4 or S3 ??
If I don’t have this option do I tow in 4wd?

also looking for recs on leveling blocks? Can I just use wood pieces instead if I have that available?

    Thanks in advance

Welcome. One possibility on something you can use for leveling as well as off roading with your 4Runner - GoTreads. They are traction devices by a small Kansas company called Pinto. They stack for storage in a bag. You lay them out flat and shove them under the tires in the direction you're trying to go to get traction in sand or snow. They advertise leveling as one of the uses for the GoTreads. I have a pair but haven't used them yet so can't really vouch for them. I bought them because unlike other traction devices they fold up into a bag for compact storage. If you don't need them for off roading they would obviously cost too much to get them for leveling only. Here's a link to the manufacturer on how to use them for leveling (they're illustrating with a vehicle but you could do the same thing to level a trailer): https://help.gotreads.com/article/45-how-do-i-use-gotreads-for-leveling

Also, while I'm sure you'll get good suggestions on your towing questions, 3200 pounds is a lot to tow and I'd recommend finding a good trailer supplies and service company in your area that can advise you on what kind of equipment you need (hitch, brake controller, etc.) to pull your trailer safely with a 4Runner. They should stock anything you need and be able to do the installation. Edit - they would also be a good source of ideas and potentially products to use for leveling.

I have a 3,000 lb camper, I took it to a local towing shop to get a wdh installed on my 2016 TRD pro. The shop checked the hitch and camper and determined that I did not need the hitch.

The camper tows perfect without any wdh installed. Level and smooth.

I have not looked into the owners manual with regard to when they recommend a weight distribution hitch. I'll probably go with a Husky Centerline TS with the lowest weight bars since it has sway control built in when I eventually get another camper (something under 3000lb dry weight). Used one in my previous life towing a 29ft camper behind an F150 and it made a huge difference once I corrected the improper way the camper dealer set it up.
