Fairly new to off-roading, but since getting my 4R I've been exploring and learning how to negotiate everything from mud, water, holes, climbs, etc on my own. Anyone else in the South Jersey, Delaware, Philly area take their 4R off pavement? Mind if I tag along to explore new trails and learn stuff? I haven't been to Rausch or AOAA yet.

I grew up in Pennsville, NJ. (Exit 1 on the turnpike, right at the Delaware Memorial Bridge). We used to go out by Fort Mott State Park. It was at the end of Lehigh Road where the paved road turned to dirt. It was great because the Delaware River would get dredged out for the bigger ships going to Philly and they would pump the dredge mud into different pits out there. I have so many great memories out there. Last time I was home, I heard they turned it into an ATV Park. But, I’m not totally sure and don’t know if vehicles are allowed out there. I guess we “technically” weren’t supposed to be out there but the cops would show up every now and then at night to catch underage drinking and see if they could get a few DUI’s. That was close to 20 years ago though!

Not sure if it's a ATV park or not, but the dirt roads and open areas are still there, so I may swing in and take a look on my next trip to DE, thanks!!

There used to be 2 different entrances from the road leading to Finn’s Point National Cemetery. Let me know what it’s like whenever you get a chance to head out there. Have fun!!

Right on, thanks! I've been out to AOAA once now and had a fun time! I've been to Rausch several times and FRO for a day. I've been through the pines with a group before, but it's pretty vast, so I wouldn't be able to navigate through it...
