Same thought here. I think that blue 4Ruuner look good with the SR5 bumper, SR5 wheels and non blacked out badges. Sorry its out of topic but couldn't help not complementing the beauty.

Agreed. I have same tire (black wall) and did not want the added weight + rubbing issues with bigger tires, so I stayed at 265.
wildpeaks are better in northeast but in my mind don't look at nice as KO2s.

I live in the north east and the ko2’s have never let me down, got me home from work 11 miles in the Christmas blizzard we had here in Buffalo this last Year. They are pretty smooth on the road as well I think. I throw them on all my vehicles. BFG claims the load range C isn’t enough for the 4 runner oddly enough. They wouldn’t give me psi recommendations and said the tire shop shouldn’t have put them on Lmao but never had a issue.

Toyo AT3 or Falken AT3W. KO2's are garbage in snow (maybe they're ok in powder but we don't really get powder here, just wet, heavy snow.)

They never gave me a issue in any nice deep heavy snow. That’s why I buy them!

I heard lot of mixed reviews from people with KO2s in snow and rain. But in the end I wanted to pay more to get the look I wanted, compared to wildpeaks which apparently is universally loved.
IIRC the thread with comparison on wildpeak vs KO2s had people reporting more balancing issues with former, which swayed me towards KO2s.

Its the 4" of wet heavy snow, they clog up and slide. At least that's my experience. I've found the Falken and Toyos to be better. Grabber ATX about the same as KO2 in snow and worse in rain (won't ever buy those again).

The KO2 are a good looking tire though.

I debated Ko2's for quite a while and ended up with M/T Baja Boss AT in the xl rating and so far I love them.

LT265/70R17 C BW 112S BFG KO2 , tire number 10892. This is the "C" load range tire, the "E" load is heavier and stiffer.

i really love this tire on paper. how did they balance for you? i've heard some complaints in that regard but it seems more common with e-load versions. i'd be looking at the XL rated as well which seems very similar to a C-load construction.

what's the load range and mileage you got? i'm in the market and looking at Ridge Grapplers or Toyo RT Trails.

i had some Terra Grapplers and those things were unbearably noisy after 16K miles so i'm a little warry about Nittos.

My Baja Bosses balanced fine, aren't to loud, and only took about .5mpg hit. I like them in the wet and lightly snow packed roads (haven't done interstate on snow pack yet) and they were great on the easy trail I did in Moab.

They are E load (LT). The trails here are covered with partially imbedded sharp basalt rocks so I prefer the extra protection of a heavier tire. I put about 25k miles on the 285 Nitto RG’s before I switched back to the 265’s. I have no complaints about the tire noise. Not dead silent but certainly not obnoxious like a traditional MT tire.

If you do a lot of winter driving than they may not be the best choice. NG’s are not snow rated.

KO2s all day! Tread is more aggressive than stock, they'll handle any terrain, and are the quietest 3PMSF tire on the hwy

100% KO2 C load range. Just swapped the OEM Terra Grappler on my Pro for them. Instantly quieter on the highway. I have run them on multiple rigs in the past in Siberia(South Dakota Winters) with not much break in traction compared to my snow tire equipped cars.

Can anyone who may have run both Michelin Defender LTX M/S & their LTX A/T 2 speak to the difference in road noise between the two? I' m considering these, and hate noisy tires.

I have the LTX M/S on my Tacoma. Probably 5 years old and great tire. Super quiet highway and good wet traction like you would expect from a Michelin.

I want to know more about this? Why is it not enough? Would that be the same for other similar tires that are load C? Never heard that before (albeit I'm new to 4wd and offroading)

The whole E vs C vs P load range can get confusing, took me some time to understand. Its not just E/C/P load ranges, its also the tire service description, load index rating (Like:112/109Q) that provides max weight per tire and speed capabilities. The 112 represents the maximum load carrying capacity per wheel and the ability to carry approximately 2,470 lb at a max of 50psi for each tire. I run mine at 38psi, which gives a max weight capacity of around 2000lbs pr tire which covers the overall weight of the 4Runner plus some cargo. The Q provides the max speed = 90mph.

Nice! I have same SR5 Blue. Any side view images of those KO2s? What size are they? How's the noise on highway?

For years, I have run the Michelin LTX A/T 2 on two vehicles. Great tire, you won’t be disappointed.

I've got the LTX M/S and love them. Great street tire. Quiet. 14-16" drifts of virgin snow on my neighbor's farm didn't seem to be a problem.

I inquired with BFGoodrich regarding KO2s shortly after getting my 4Runner. There was a brief back-and-forth, and this was our final exchange:

    Spalding:
Hi Carley. Thanks for your reply. When I asked about putting T/A KO2’s on my 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium the other day I specifically said that I wanted to stick with the stock size, and was asking whether the C or E rating would be more appropriate. I have no idea what the ply rating is on the stock Dunlop AT20 Grand Trek tires that came with my 4Runner. So I went to the BF Goodrich website and used the find-tires-by-vehicle feature to enter in my Toyota 4Runner. Only two tires came up: the Trail Terrain T/A and the Advantage T/A Sport LT. Based on these findings and your email, am I to understand that it is BF Goodrich’s official word that T/A KO2’s are not recommended for the 4Runner? If so, there are dozens, maybe hundreds of members of online 4Runner owners’ forums who would be interested to know that. If there is a version of the T/A KO2 that is appropriate for the 4Runner please let me know which it is.

    BFGoodrich Consumer Care:
    Hello Captain,

I can confirm we do not recommend the All Terrain T/A KO2 for your vehicle.

    Thank you,
    Carley

Amazing. Why does every major tire retailer recommend them with a "Best" rating when you put in your vehicle year, make, and model??
