I have a 2017 4Runner TRD Pro and the sound is very bad I can't hear the radio with the windows down. What is a good speaker upgrade and should I get an amplifier as well?

No. All my other vehicles had Bose or Alpine that were great. I need to find something to replace the factory speakers.

I just got a 2017 Pro. Keep your factory headunit and put new speakers in and use a amp to power them. It will sound way better. I’m not touching my system yet. I just had my awesome system removed from my Tacoma. I have it up for sale.

Hey RusPro, I did just that all new speakers and amp. The sound is awesome. I can hear my music now when the windows are down. All the factory speakers together were still lighter than one of my new speakers. Well worth the money to upgrade.

Hey TRDPro57, I may use my speakers I removed from my Tacoma. I figure you probably have 6.5 components in the front doors. Can you tell me what size are in the rear doors and hatch. And what amp did you go with. Is it under the passenger seat? Thanks for any info Don. Also did you have a custom subwoofer box made for the rear?

I just integrated my factory Pro head unit with all CDT components and amps.
