New to the forum but not the 4runner. Have owed 4Runners on and off for the last 20 years. Recently traded my Black 15 Trd Pro on a 17 Cement TRD Pro. Really enjoying these 5 gens. Have a toytec front spacier left and wheelers T13 rear springs going in next week. Can't wait, will post pics when complete.

Thanks for the welcome post. I plan on using the 265/70/17 Nittos Grapplers that came with the truck for a year, then uping to 285/70/17. Thinking Nitto Ridge Grapplers or Terra Grappler G2. Figuare I have a year to do a little research. BTW really like your Quicksand Color.

Love the cement color. I know discount tire by me (near Dallas, TX) will match online just had luck with Costco doing the same for some All-terrain TAS. Look forward to seeing pics as the build progresses.

Thanks, I'm digging the Cement color, bought it site unseen. Traded in my 15 Black Trd Pro for it. Enjoyed the Black for 2 years. Have to admit it was hard to keep clean, but she was really sharp all polished up. Ordered some red caliber covers, hoping to get them on when the lift goes in.

Only few weeks old. First upgrade 2" Front lift and 1.5 Rear lift (Toytec TrdPro front spaciers with Wheelers T13 Rear springs) Ride seems to be about the same but sitting higher really puts a smile on my face. Also added Red Caliber covers (OEM Toyota). Blacked out the Toyota badge and Letters on tail gate with the toyota kit. and installed Toyota brand all weather floor mats. As soon as my wallet recovers, I'll be thinking about the SSO Slim bumper. would love to get in on a group buy on this. If anyone knows about one or one coming up, count me in. Really want to upgrade tires to a 285/70/17 , but that's a little further down the list as the stock 265 nitto's have less than a 1k on them.

Just ordered a TRD Clean Air Intake off Amazon. Should be in next week. Trying to decide to do the install myself or bring to dealer. Anyone have any notes and degree of difficulty on install.

I'm curious, why did you trade in a 2015 for a 2017, it sounds like the vehicles are the same except for color. Given Toyota's longevity I can't see wear as the issue, was it a lease thing or simply to get out of the black or into a cement?

Good question. I own my own company and use the 4Runner as my company vehicle, which gives me the advantage of the tax saving at the end of the year. Any company vehicle over 6000 lbs (which the 4Runner fall under) gives you a pretty decent tax reduction. Plus the fact I enjoy the new car smell (lol)

    Nothing needed, just some stickers
The hardest part of installing the cold air intake is getting into the wheel well to remove the existing part and replacing with new part. I've done it on my FJ and 17 4Runner. Everything else is very easy and detailed inside the box by Toyota. It's basically plug and play and taping up a few things. Save your money on a pro installer
