I de-badged my TRD Off Road logos a month or so ago. I think it looks much cleaner without them.

I got the hooks and it is rock solid so far. I suspect the straps will make it easier and quicker to remove and reinstall when you need to though, and it did take me a bit of trial and error to figure out the right way to install the hooks. Also, I did add a very little amount of 3M trim attachment roll here and there so there wouldn't be any rattles (probably not needed but totally silent now).

If you get the straps please let me know you like them. So far I am really impressed with this thing and don't regret the purchase at all.

Thank you. Hooks seems like more steady system. Will check that.
So far I'm happy with Amazon car seat protector and cargo cover. Hope this would be good for me as well.

I like the back seat floor mat. It looks like it fits a lot better then the stock one (I just like the stock one cause it has the Toyota logo in the middle). I have to fix it every time someone sits in the back. Where did you order the mats and can I just order the back seat one?

Reinstalled my brushguard and used the 32" curved LED light bar on the rear of the roof rack. Now just need to figure out how to run the wires.

Ordered from LASFIT directly. I don't think you can order JUST the back mat, but they are highly discounted and if you use code VIP2 it'll knock an additional 20%. Shipping is FREE (no code needed) and of course any state sales tax (depending on where you live). Mine is Mississippi so it's 7% sales tax. (And they do have option for 3rd row should you need it).

I literally just grabbed the corner of it with my fingernail and peeled them off. They aren't on there very solidly. Then I bought an erasure kind of disc that everyone recommended for my drill, to buff off all the remaining goop, but I ended up not using it. Not only did it do a horrible job, but the gunk came off easier by hand. At the end I just used a hot water rag and the last tiny bit came off. It was a super simple process, that required no tools. Some people recommended using a credit card to slide under the letters but I didn't even have to do that.

    Dental floss.
Warm up the badges with a hair dryer then pull and/or saw your way thru the glue pads with the floss. Clean up any remaining glue with your fingers or a solvent like glue gone. Finish with isopropyl alcohol or plain soap and water.

Dental floss and a little heat is the way for sure... I have used this method for WAY too many years (hate most chrome logos/badges etc.) works on ones that are 'old and baked on' as well...

Got the tires balance and rotated this time. Did it last month to see if it would fix the steering shimmy but it didn’t. Discount only did the front wheels for some reason. This time I had them do all of them and rotated as well. Not sure what they did differently but as hard as it is to believe, the shimmy is gone.

Also done today, I went ahead and did a transmission fluid change as it was getting close to 60k miles. Followed the thread and used my OBD Fusion to check the temp and pull the check plug. Pretty easy swap and so far it’s running smooth.

Made a leveling platform for the back, 3rd row seats version. Sleeping in the back will be so comfortable this summer!

We just picked up the 4runner and a place for the phone was the first thing I was looking for, I saw this and was leaning this route. It is spendy but these days it seems everything is!

Swapped head unit out for TGP's Sony XAV9500-ES kit. Also installed the LabOps kit while I was in there. Head unit is so awesome, the EQ alone made a major improvement from stock.

I leave the clock on top fast... because reasons :D

Not really done "to" the 4Runner but "for" the 4Runner: Had to reschedule our trip to visit relatives down south due to both of us coming down with COVID-thank the Lord for vaccinations! We both were over it in 3-4 days except the wife caught a flu bug because her immunity was lowered. Good news: Saving about $500 and still adding a couple of days. Still have to go to Portland (now a separate trip) to get pictures and fingerprints for my OR CCL. Changed all reservations w/o cancellation fees, took the roof basket off, weather should be better (hoping to visit Bodie and Manzanar-still taking traction mats and a snow shovel), programming some additional addresses into the Nav.

    None.
New tires. Stock size because the price was right. Venom Power Terra Hunter XT. Nice aggressive tread with good road manners. Venoms come with a warranty unlike most bargain tires. Little bit of road noise but nothing unexpected. I priced tires locally and they were almost double the price. Payed $821 for five tires through Walmart and $95 installation at a local shop. And I still have money in my pocket for more gear.

Got some maintenance done today. Oil change, rotate tires, grease driveshaft zerks, air filter, and cabin filter.

Also got to test out my new Milwaukee 1/2" compact impact wrench. Had no trouble removing the lugs and the 65 lb-ft setting for tightening the lugs before I hit it with a torque wrench worked great.

Forgot to mention when I was under the 4Runner, there is still a healthy layer of Woolwax on the frame. Been thru the undercarriage carwash about every 2-3 weeks this winter.
