    Hi all,

I just got a used '16 4Runner SR5. The center console front cup holder was missing the rubber insert so I got one coming. Question, there is a shallow storage tray just in front of the shifter between the front cup holder and the shifter. What is it used for? Does it have a rubber piece on the bottom?

Also, what is the deeper, narrow slot connected to the rear cup holder used for?

    Thanks
    DH

I just picked up a 2015 SR5 myself and the narrow slot connected to the rear cup holder is where I put my wallet. Fits perfectly.

To answer OP's first question there is no rubber mat in the shallow slot north of the shifter.

For that slot connected to the cupholder, there is actually an alternate part number that has a plastic "divider" between slot and cupholder. I like that style better. If you don't want the cupholder to be linked to that slot you can install the other cupholder insert in there and that provides some separation.

What holster is that? I'll bet my Shield would fit that space with the right holster.
