Yeah I installed mine a few weeks ago. I keep it on City 2 so nothing crazy, but definitely worth the price to get instant response from the pedal

Great! Quick question…I read the manual stating that you can’t use the cruise control when you have the commander active but have you tried to use cruise control while driving on the highway?

Don’t want to recommend going against the manuals recommendations, but I just finished using my adaptive cruise control on the highway 30 minutes ago with no issues.

I keep mine on Sport 1 and have used the cruise with no issues. In fact, I never read the manual or knew it existed.

Testing in progress for another drop in LED bulb. This is Lasfit LED bulbs.Always love how newer LEDs have this perfect cutoff line just like a full LED housing.

I like these but I don't. Seems like they hang down enough that they would hit long before the skid...that and they're red (I have an aversion to red things, seems my ex went crazy with cosmetic crap on her Tacoma and most of it is red (including a chain hanging between the front tow hooks)...and I say cosmetic because her Tacoma probably won't even see a dirt road. She was upset with me when I took her truck to teach my daughter to drive a manual (unfortunately we never finished because I was out of the house...but she does an ok job, just needed more practice).
I have these saved in one of my Amazon lists...just have not pulled the trigger yet.

As for me, today I turned off "Avoid Toll Roads" in the nav...not sure why that is on by default. Also saved my work address (could not search by company name as it has the wrong road for some reason). I'll add a couple more later, my address and my gf's address.

That looks really good for the tail lights, leaning towards trying it.

Swapped the silver metra dash kit for the black. Looks so much better. That was the last piece of silver in the car.

Put my new plates on with WeatherTech Clear Cover plate frames, in color Beluga Grey. Have used these frames for close to 30 years, very clean looking, they come in many colors. The Beluga Grey blends in really well with Lunar Rock. Technically the clear plastic cover over the plate is illegal in CA, but in all those years, I only got ticketed once as a bonus with a minor speeding ticket. Pic from WeatherTech's website:

FYI not 20 mins with ads like YouTube days it is! Lol.

Pic cuts off the back Wheel some. Was getting late and I just wanted to pick up garage and get a shower.

Went with the OEM Audio Reference 500 dual sub. It is a clean sounding system. Doors, hatch and rear quarters have all been sound deadened. Is it worth the 2600.00........ I would say no. The system is clean and the minimal loss of room in the rear is very nice though.

I like them because they keep the plate clean (and I also like clean, no advertising frames). The downside to that is, I guess, easier for LEO to see. Some covers have anti-laser coatings but those are very illegal and more likely to get busted. As with most things, each to his own.

    LED fogs. AND

    Changed the engine coolant….

leveling kit is in the backseat, maybe Saturday.

Factory skid plate has 2 front bolts broken off look pretty rusty any advice on extraction or just pound the weld nut out and start welding in new ones for larger bolts?

super easy even without removing skid plate. The whole take 20-30 minutes. No just about to turn 50k but it’s a 2017. I’ve had a little over a month and want a Good base line on maintenance. Plus I’m finding broken bolts and little stuff… need to do some tlc on the frame.

I ordered a set of these for my wife’s new car and, since they were so cheap, got a set for mine. I really like them. Very clean look and I no longer worry that the super thin plates they issue here in Texas are rattling or flapping or will get bent in a car wash, especially the front one.

whatever bolts you can spin out, make sure you anti-seize them before you put them in, like on the skid plates, etc.

for sure…. I always hit fasteners with something before putting back. How to quickly fix the broken off bolts is the question of the day for me.

For those of us with darker vehicles, a slight shading to take off the pure white (but still legible for legal) is good, especially where you have a front plate as well. Prevents font from chipping away on front plates (great if you have a personalized license plate), and used to help deter stealing of plate renewal stickers (but now our province has gone stickerless).

Sucks. I know how I’d feel on a the OEM one, let alone an upgraded one.

The license plate covers are illegal in my state. Most of the time the cops don't bother you unless they're really dark or too dirty to read the plates. As far as the stickers, I never put on the new stickers. So far haven't been bothered for it.

Yeah. You know why? Because the flash on a red light camera make the plate number unreadable in the photo. >:-(

Finally got my recovery brackets from SRQ Fab installed. Had to hog out one hole per bracket to make them work. I also had to grind down a weld of the frame that had way too much metal mounded up. Once I did that they bolted up nicely. Peace of mind knowing I can get pulled out of a situation if needed.
