Toytec Ultimate lift, SSO Slimline bumper and 10,000# winch, emblem blackout, hood scoop wrap.
Just ordered the following for a 2017 TRD Off Road: Southern Style OffRoad Hybrid front bumper with 10,000# SmittyBilt X20 wench with synthetic rope, Toyota 4 Runner trail running boards, and a 4 runner Ultimate 3" lift Kit (UL-FJ210-KDSS-650) made up of Bilstein 5100 coil over shocks and ToyTec Super flex 2" Rear springs and other parts.

This is from the dealer where I bought the 4 Runner, and the tech assured me that no warranty would be voided, and that none of the parts would adversely effect the ride or handling. He also assured me that all would work with KDSS as he would re-balance the hydraulic system. He has this lift on his wife's 4 Runner and recommended it at the price point. He also said that if future tire upgrades were being considered, this lift would get me to 33" with no problem.

I am not trying to make a rock crawler out of this, but it will be used on occasion in the Colorado Rockies in places like Engineer Pass, Cinnamon Pass and the like. The rest of the time it will be a daily driver.

I just want it as capable as the Rubicon I traded, with the much better ride, handling, and other benefits the 4 Runner has to offer, and with these additions, I'm still in it for less than a new Rubicon.

    Thanks,

    Bill

This is good news, I had heard from my dealer you could not lift a KDSS 4Runner. I would love more details from both of you.

My dealer is doing the lift. The kit for this lift specifies for with KDSS or without. It appears that they have different parts depending on the suspension application.

I can't speak for the KDSS but I had that setup (bumper, winch, and lift) on my '14. No issues. Probably still out there somewhere in the SF area being driven by a yuppie douche. But, I digress... two things that no one else spoke to: 1) if you want to go offroad then dump the running boards, they are going to get crumpled in about 32 seconds on a rocky trail; 2) don't get the truck aligned immediately, give it about 500-1000 miles after install to allow the new springs to settle and for you to get the preload reset to where you want it to be. The Toytec coils sag a lot at first under the load of bumper and winch.
