Slight lift needed

I have convinced myself that I need the Bilstein 5100. I have a 2022 TRD Sport with the xreas suspension. I just needed a small lift to even the stance and to get rid of the slight front tire rubbing. I am running Method wheels with 265/70/17 Continental TerrainContact tires. Who has a good price for these shocks? I don't do offroading. Is it a big job to take out the xreas? What's a typical labor cost to install this?

 

It's possible the offset on your Methods is causing the rubbing. a Lift up front isn't going to solve that. It will do nothing to change compressed suspension geometry. Might just need to push the fender liners out a bit.

 

I believe I have a zero offset. I only have a very minor rubbing when I'm backing out and the front wheels are turned all the way. Don't really care about it. I'm much more at looking at getting a level stance.

 

It cost me additional $100 to remove XREAS.

After removing XREAS I realized these lift suspension are more offroad focus and not comfortable as XREAS on road.

Why not ask a shop if they can install a spacer on top of the front shock without damaging XREAS? I think Toyota specialist 4x4 shops have the ability/ capability of doing it and enjoy XREAS until it starts leaking.

For front tire rubbing why not push the fender liner forward? You don't have the trouble of cutting the bumper like SR5 and TRD models have. Just need fender liner mod as far I know.

That's what I would probably do if I had XREAS.

 

Your rig is still new, I wouldn't add the 5100 and remove the xreas (I assume which is why you purchased a vehicle with it to begin with? ) for a small lift. If you're dead set of removing the xreas altogether but only want a small lift, I'd look into obtaining some 3rd gen tacoma front take off strut assembly, it will level out your front end. They can be had for a much as $100 if you search the used online market. Your 4runner will sit level and resemble a TRD Pro 4runner look.

As others have mentioned, you can also just look into a .5" spacer lift up front to level it out. Something like this would suffice w/out much change to your vehicle. Can be done in an hr tops with some basic hand tools and few helping hands.
