Got the last piece of the Ram Mounts to hold my phone via the ICS dash mount. I’m using the x mount for my iPhone 13 Pro in its case, on the Ram Mounts shortest attachment arm, and a diamond 1” ball mount on the ICS. Seems pretty solid, and top of my phone lines up with edge view of hood (so no view obstructions).

Enjoy! I’ve been Offroad with these 3 times, and driven in the snow a handful of times on the street now. Still young tires at 4,200 kms (2,600 miles), but enjoying them and haven’t felt any regrets (except maybe wishing I went a bit bigger in size).

New Morimoto XB led headlights and matching taillights. Raptor lights.

The frustrating part is the 4banger fog lights... Look great but struggling to get them working.

Saw few people say good things about Lasfit floor mats, so I tried myself. They are definitely better than OEM ones. I might have got too excited when rear mat fit like a glove :p

    https://youtu.be/xoyPWDF-Zfc

Lasfit gave me a coupon code = LR. Feel free to use that code it if anyone want a discount when buying them. After the coupon code its $101 in total. But don't quote me as taxes might change for others.

I was going to go bigger, but I figured this will give me some time to work on the suspension then rims and by that time, a new set of tires, something bigger :p

What's the issue with the fogs? I just installed and uninstalled mine without a problem.

I don't think Limited fog light removal is easy as other trims where just open the front part of the fender liner and remove the screws. This is based on what I saw when I just change the bulbs on the Limited fog lights.

The wire and holder looks same but when I look in it looks like I need to remove more parts to remove the fog light housing. If I were to remove the bumper there is more stuff like the parking sensors.

Love to see if Ken found an easy way to remove the fog light housing.

    Nice job!!

Was your head unit trim originally black?

Also - do you think it'd be possible to tap that USB into the head unit, so Car Play works from the upper port? I was thinking to do that, or to try and re-route a cable to the top, so one isn't dangling around.

Finally got the Christmas gifts all installed over this past week. New additions are the Sherpa Crestone roof rack, Sherpa MaxTrax mounts, MKII boards, and a pair of the RhinoUSA heavy duty D-Ring shackles. I do really like the mountain cut out near the rear of the roof rack that goes along w/the rear window decals.

Hell yeah! Although, for me it's a contrast issue. The LEDs I got, cheap-assed ones, barely seem to out-distance the stock halogens. The big difference is the contrast, especially on black asphalt. With recent Southern California rains, I realized that I couldn't see potholes with the yellowish lights even when I was close to them.

I just wish I could get a 4700k-5000k LED and not pay a walletful of money.

Yep I believe the 2020+ head units have black trim rather the silver.

and yes its possible to reroute the head unit USB up to the top port but its gonna take some work to do so, you would need to find an aftermarket stereo usb port adapter similar to https://www.amazon.com/PAC-USB-TY1-Toyota-Lexus-Retention/dp/B00F0YJ49O to plug into the original cable and use https://www.amazon.com/BATIGE-Female-Extension-Motorcycle-Dashboard/dp/B01N66N1JK and find a way to power the 2nd port.

I went a different route and did wireless carplay and did USB A+C wired into dedicated usb charger that provides actual QC and PD - https://www.amazon.com/Coolgear-Delivery-Industrial-Charger-featuring/dp/B084P83JNW + https://www.amazon.com/BATIGE-Waterproof-Extension-Motorcycle-Dashboard/dp/B07TX76VNQ

The halogen light bulb that was touched by an ungloved hand and then turned on for maybe 10 minutes in the DRL mode.

I figured that it would be fun to do because headlight bulb packaging always has the warning not to touch it.

Ha! I always wanted to test that.
The quartz glass on the halogen bulb gets up to about 500° C (930°F) so any oil on it will burn and create a hot spot and maybe destroy the bulb.
    Good demo

My hands were pretty clean, not straight off of washing them, but they were clean.

I should note that the black marking in the straight line is because the bulb housing was still hot and it touched the black foam packing material of the LED box...

That box tapped off the battery or the cig lighter?

What did you use for wireless CarPlay, and is it stable? All the reviews I have read seem to all have complaints about stability..

Carlinkit 4.0. It does have some input lag and connects by itself 97% of time. Not perfect like the wired connection but overall I don't have major issues with it.

The coolgear charger is wired directly into my lithium house battery in the back so its always hot, but I would run a wire direct into battery as it could use several amps to charge the full 75 watts.

Flexed it out on a pile of rocks I have in my driveway. Still not maxed out on the rear. The front though I wish had more flex (all wheels were still on the ground):

Little late to the winter tire party but was pretty disappointed with the Toyo Open Country AT3's in the snow & ice over the last month so bought some FJ Cruiser steel wheels, painted them grey for that 70 series look and mounted some Continental VikingContact 7 winter tires. Just need to get the center caps for the wheels but having a hard time justifying the price of the caps.
