My panasonic went out a little while ago. I got an Everstart from Walmart.

I know, I know. Walmart? Really?

    It actually tested really well.

I tried getting the OEM one when mine died, but it was discontinued. Figures. Lasted 7 years and over 100k. I went with an Odyssey 34R for the replacement.

My original OEM battery also died a few months ago, while listening to the radio for 10 minutes. The Panasonics just aren’t what they used to be. Got a Costco battery. Better plan on preemptively replacing it every 3 years.

The battery I bought is 00544-24F60-575. The website says it was Not For Sale, but the dealership had them in stock. Maybe they just can't be purchased online due to the extra shipping precautions.

My Tacoma had the 27F TruStart battery. Had the truck for 11 years, only had to replace the battery once after 6 years.

Tore my dash apart, removed the glove box and everything down the middle of the dash. Unscrewed all the components in the glove box, zip tied a bunch of random harnesses in the dash, tightened every nut bolt and screw I could find, cleaned the little bit of dust off everything. Applied felt panel isolation tape on every plastic mating surface and put it all back together. Panels are definitely tighter now. Let’s hope the incredibly irritating 4Runner dash vibration is gone now. Next will be to take care of the tailgate creek.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Mine hasn't started yet but when it does you can do that all over again just for your dear old dad! LOL!

Aimed the headlights down last night about 4 turns each. The Ironman 4x4 lift took an inch of rake out so the beam pattern from the H9s wasn't as good as before and I'm sure oncoming traffic will appreciate it. I'm also installing extended brake likes for the rear today.

Next upgrades in January will probably be a BOTCK from Dr. KDSS and upgraded front sway bar endlinks to finish out the suspension.

Just replaced mine on my 2020. The OEM lasted 2 years. I should be driving it more so the battery will last longer. Just reached 5000 miles.

Charge it up from outlet if sits in the garage or short trips. I use NOCO charger and top all my vehicles off every 3 month.

Adjusted the tailgate striker in an attempt to solve the tailgate creek. We’ll see what happens! New front and rear wiper blades for the 4Runner and Highlander.

Oh, re: snow. I had already removed the stock one for a new bumper I’m getting. Well coming back from Mammoth all the slush kept getting kicked up on the windshield and I had no fluid to clean it. Was a brain fart on my side for sure.

Got the windows tinted. Amazing what a difference it makes. 15% all the way around and 50% on the windshield

Good looking rig. Wondering what load rating Toyos you're running and what you think of them?

Tires are awesome! nice and quiet for an A/T but still have a nice aggressive look. It's my wife's 4Runner and she loves them. I also had a set of 35's on my F-150. but I just traded that in.... for something a little more me.... and the Toyo's will be going on the new rig as well after I wear out the new tires a little

I have noticed the passenger rated AT3's have a much flatter side wall design whereas these are actual "lugs" and are 3D if that makes sense

I don’t understand tinting the front windshield. If you live in a city and only drive in a city then I guess it’s ok. There are no street lights where I live and it’s very dark in the winter, let alone the fog and snow. Just seems like a bad idea for rural areas. Is there a valid reason for doing it?

Aaahhh yes - that is a treacherous journey without fluid! I’ve done 1,000’s miles on 395!

I don’t believe it is a complete window tint. Just at the top for the sun. I was in Arizona and it helped a lot. I don’t have it here in North Carolina now.

I did this mistake on my SR5 and couldn't see properly in forest roads. A rock broke my windshield so problem solved. :p

I think for some like me that park their truck outside, where windshield faces south … the interior can degrade quicker. I do plan on tinting mine the lightest at 5% (95% of light flow through), but do ceramic to help keep car cooler and protect dash.

Here in Southern TX, it is hot as hell! I did the windshield with the highest quality lightest tint available from Xpel. My thought is that it will help save my dash and keep the interior a little cooler when at work.

I have the whole windshield tinted at 50% with a strip at the top. I do it because my commutes to and from home are directly in the sun both ways. It helps cut down on glare and brightness. I also live in an area where there are not a lot of back roads or anything like that so it really doesn't get that dark. But if you sit in a vehicle with 50% on the windshield and no one told you it was tinted, you probably wouldn't even think about it or realize it. I would never go anything less than 50, tho. It is also full ceramic tint so it helps cut down on the heat in the vehicle here in FL. Another minor plus from it is it looks fantastic from the outside. definitely gives the vehicle a more premium look. hope this helps explain my reasoning.
