Going great if I was Jeff Bezos. You can see that the link I posted is shipped by Amazon, from Amazon, not from my "online laser thermometer business". Though I am going to start one now.

    For 4Runner people?

    -First aid kit
    -Tire deflator
    -Fire extinguisher
    -Knife or multi tool
-Flashlight (Fenix E09R looks good for a keychain light.
-Lantern (UST 30 day lantern has been one of my favorite things!).
    -Tire pressure gauge
    -Tire patch kit
    -Trailer hitch/shackle for recovery

I'm sure I missed some ideas.

I do have fun with it. I bought it for work to make sure the heating works on certain probes. One can also find bad bearings based on the heat they produce (while operating, of course). It is also possible to troubleshoot hydraulics systems that may have a component that has an internal leak - that, too, produces much more heat than normal operating temperature.

Funny reason was I was holding mine at my office desk thinking of a good Christmas gift recommendation for the post and I just put the laser thermometer on it lol

This thread isn't about the thermometer though, its about what your recommendation is. Mine just is at the top.

IMHO, it really depends on who the gift is for.

I usually give them cash so they can buy whatever they want/need, it's always the right size/color and I have never had anyone return it for something else!!

I used to do this too, till my mom pointed out that giving a gift card actually means they'll have to pick something out for themselves, rather than just using it on gas or something mundane like that. Since then I've always given my siblings gift cards.

Yetis are nice. But, they're expensive as fuck. And, you have to pay extra for a spill proof lid that still sucks.

Thermos has been making vacuum bottles for over a hundred years. They had the original patent, even though they didn't actually make the first vacuum insulated containers.

oh I know, their tumblers aren't much more expensive than others like $5-10 more than another brands, but I know their like ice coolers etc are big $$$$.

I just liked them because they are dishwasher safe which oddly seems to be a rare thing with stainless steel tumbers.

It seems like some of their things have come down in price. When they first came out, there. Can cozies were like $40 a piece. Now I see they'e about $25.

I hadn't thought about the dishwasher safe aspect, because I haven't had a dishwasher in a couple of years. But, the lid for the thermos coffee mug I have comes apart into like six pieces so that you can wash it.

I'll have to remember that if I'm ever in the area. I would love to go to a factory store and see some of the lights that I can't afford, or can't justify, lol. :D
