Honestly I kinda over look the braptor fenders because of the badassness of its performance. And when you think about it the braptor is 10" wider then a stock bronco and they so they had to cover those huge 37x12.50" tires.

I was looking into the 37s bfg at, they put on the bronco. They are 8ply and only 68lbs! 315 70 17 bfg at 6ply are 64lbs.

The engineers probably designed the fender and mud flaps that way to follow regulations. With that, a solid piece flare to extend all the way could potentially rip off the whole flare when off roading. Having it broken up like that probably allows the mud flaps to break off without losing more damage. Then again, I haven’t seen how they look up close so I do not know if that is the purpose.

Saw a jeep Rubicom at Home Depot this AM (No camera with me) =was for Pacific Northwest Generators. Bright red, raised, giant tires, every doo-gad under the sun! Giant lights, traction pads, winch, etc. Not a speck of dust on it! Looked like a bright and shiny fire truck!

Don't remember-if it didn't, it had everything else. Of course, it was parked in the "curb pick-up" area when I got here and was still there when I left, with nobody around!

Funny story to me anyway. My grandson’s soccer coach has a Beautiful brand new Bronco, thing juts looks bad ass. I asked him if he’s taken it out on trails to do some wheeling and he said “are you kidding me, I paid 60k for it no way I’d take it anywhere offroad” (paraphrasing) I LOL’d to myself.

I bought a 2022 Bronco about three weeks ago. Badlands, 2dr, 2.3 4cyl, manual with the Sasquatch and Lux packages. It had 500 miles on it and was "used", it appears that the selling dealer had the buyer title it and sell it back to them and then was sold to the dealer where i bought it. There was ADM, but I paid over sticker my for used 2021 Venture 4R last year too. Not thrilled in either case but that's way it worked out. Got some of that back both times on my trades so the butthurt is not severe.

    To compare the two they are what you think with a couple of exceptions;
The Bronco steers/tracks just a bit better on the highway than the 4R. That's crazy given the shorter wheelbase and 35's.
The 2.3 in the Bronco is impressive, I'd be really happy for that kind of power/drivability in the 4R. The numbers are close in regard to HP/TQ but the Bronco makes the TQ much earlier in the power band. The Bronco gets better mpg than the 4R by just a couple mpg all around.

What you'd expect but worth mentioning anyway:
Build quality, Toyota by miles. You may have heard that the Bronco rattles and is noisy, yep true.
Ride Quality, the 4R is a luxury vehicle by comparison.
Electronics, the Bronco makes the 4R electronics look even older than they are.
Lockers, Bronco lockers are almost "instant on". No Toyota dance moves needed to lock the diff.

The wife claimed ownership of the 4R soon after it came home with us. She has a 4dr Bronco Badlands on order. It will be interesting to see which she chooses. She won't want to give up the 4R but there's the pull of "new". It may be that my Bronco takes away that pull of getting "her" Bronco and she sticks with the 4R.

No way, not me. Because in the end, it is still a Ford. The same people that brought you the Pinto, the Taurus with crappy transmissions, the 90s Taurus that required new head gaskets at 55k miles, the last ten years worth of Focus, Fiesta and possibly other models that are tied up in lawsuits and lemon laws. Not. In. My. House. Like ever.

That depends on the dealer. Some will do MSRP, some will tell you up front about ADM, some will wait until your order comes in and give you a "we need 10K in ADM or you can walk away".

I went for this one because we had ordered a Cyber Orange 2dr and after a year of waiting Ford discontinued Cyber Orange for '23. The one we ordered will be the wife's, should she accept it, as a 4dr in Velocity Blue.

I had Fords for 4 decades the last was a Focus (great car with a bad transmission). They had all been good to me until the last two (Explorer was the other one) and i was done. Only a Bronco could get my interest back. I bought a Bronco Sport Badlands and that was great little SUV that I traded in on the Bronco. In between Fords we have had a 4R, Rav4 and a Prius. The quality of the 4R and Prius were outstanding, the Rav4 Hybrid was very good (couple of rattles and the infamous gas tank issue).

Completely agree with the sentiments about the Bronco Raptor needing wider body panels.

Those giant plastic fender flares look like complete ass.

The F150 Raptor has wider body panels compared to a standard F150. Why can't the Bronco Raptor?

That Saleen version is exactly how it should have looked from the factory.

Ford has cheapened the Raptor branding with this Bronco version.

You have to do your research on what dealer you go with. I called multiple dealers asking around about ADM before I made the selection. I ended up choosing a small dealer 2 hours away from where I currently live ( they are in the town I was born in) for MRSP with a free limited lifetime power train warranty . They took the time to call me back and actually talk unlike many who never returned a phone call.
There were a few dealerships out there like one out in the Midwest that a lot of people where doing a group buy for a few thousands below MSRP which Ford took notice about.

I think the same would go for many dealerships if you order then you pay MRSP. But if you walk in to buy one off the lot and a popular vehicle you will expect to pay more, especially if it cost them to keep the vehicle on the lot.

I drove a 2.3 4dr during a short promo driving event and didn’t realize it was that motor until the guy told me so. They put me in a Badlands non-sas which I thought had the 2.7 at first based on matching me with my order. That motor has more than enough power to do all the fun stuff. I would’ve been happy with the 2.3 but I’m even happier with the 2.7, especially in the 4dr. Just wish it had more sound to it and less fake pumped in sound.

Imagine the sound to come once we are forced to all electrics--the cool factor will be much less for many of us; sure they will be fast and look nice but there is something about a little noise that makes it cool also (imo)

Maybe it's because I grew up driving V8's, but most new cars sound terrible to me. I don't want to hear 4 or 6cyl engine noises at all. I welcome the silence from that.

What WOULD be cool is if you could pick your "soundtrack" from a list of great engines. Heck yeah I'd drive around with my EV sounding like a big block Chevy or flathead Ford.

I think all EVs should sound like something out of the Jetsons.

The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT EV sounds like an angry robotic cat to me.

Let’s see at $8 a hour I could save for ten years and by one but by then they will be 200k?

General rule of thumb: when you work smaller engines harder, they don’t last as long.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious.:D

Also, some turbo engines are very reliable.
