Hello! Love TacomaWorld (‘00 Xcab and ‘19 6MT ACLB) - and finally picked up my first 4R after coveting silently for a long time.

She’s disgusting on the inside with a recently rebuilt motor and tranny- the rehabbing begins in earnest now!

Anyone lose some nails?



After many an hour she’s cleaned up, put a new leather shift boot, knobs, weather tech mats, and door bolsters. Also was able to remove the broken and jammed retractable antenna mechanism and replace with a static stubby.



Nice gradient on the coolant flush, I’m a pink stuff kinda guy…


new injectors and gaskets from MotorWest came in


Got new seat foam, just waiting for the Katzkins to be delivered before trying my hand at reupholstering

When I replaced the seat skins on my old tacoma. Instead of using hog rings I used QUALITY zip ties. Held great and was much easier. Are you installing seat heaters

 

Thanks, I’ll definitely post pics when it’s done (2-3 weeks out ug), I plan on doing a big ol paint correction and touch up job today on the exterior, and installing the new headunit

Oh yeah, gotta have the butt toasters! And I saw a few people suggesting zipties, I’ve got a hog-ring plier set so going to try the rings first, if all else fails I’ll go to zippies.
