Happy anniversary. Somehow my wife has tolerated me for 36 years. The preacher wasn’t kidding when he said for better or for worse. I was definitely for worse sometimes.

 

She told me that a marriage license was like a concealed carry license=Good for ten years then you get it renewed. After 20, I gave up trying!!

 

Having a beer and the last fire @ Lake George, a vacation was nice!

 

Only weekend drinking for a while from now on. Gotta give that check liver light a chance to turn off. Started walking every day, too.

Such a nice night that we sat out on the deck and enjoyed some libations. Wife had a couple of glasses of wine and I had a pour of Baker's Single Barrel and followed that with my first pour of Monk's Road.

 

Jefferson's Reserve, neat.

 

I got a truckload of Free Beer so, yeah....

When I was diagnosed as diabetic, I was told I couldn't drink beer. Now I drink a lot less, but I ONLY drink GOOD beer!

 

One of those RARE times a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend actually came through!!

Had a 70*F day here in Buffalo, one of the last for the year. Hellz yeaaaa!

 

Nope, beer is costing me more than parts for the runner.

Pretty soon I can buy a tire for the cost of a 12 pack.

I noticed a bourbon whiskey from this local distillery, and almost grabbed it. But then I saw this rye, and decided it sounded more interesting. Turns out, it's pretty damn delicious.



I just had a small sample of that, and now I am drinking traditional Wisconsin old fashions, made from scratch with love, while I make dinner.

 

I'm partaking in sober October....this thread is killin' me!!!!

 

A whole month of sobriety? Damn! I feel good when I make it two days.

 

Looks like one to try however my brand is the one that started it all, the original Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Weller is my bourbon of choice, has a killer buzz but can't hardly find it, so I been drinking Bulleit. We also love the Plantation rums. Their 3 star has a rad banana taste.

 

I love the original dark Plantation! It's really good, especially for the price!

Tonight it's been local whiskey (Driftless Glen) and a few beers.

2 more days! It's interesting that I have always thought of myself as someone who wouldn't crave beer or alcohol until it isn't immediately available. You don't know what you got til it's gone! But...having said that, doing a whole month of sobriety has been good for me. I'm not a heavy drinker at all (4-5 drinks/week), but I am sleeping better, and I have lost a few pounds from not in-taking empty calories.

 

1 drink a day made that much of a difference lol? I must try. Your weekly intake has been my daily intake
