I've had Tito's, but not in a martini. I used to like Ketelone, but I haven't had it in awhile.

Nothing diet about that beer, the bourbon hit me like a 2x4 to the face.

Ketel one is great. I also went through stages of grey goose and belvedere but eventually realized when it comes to dirty martinis (I like em dirty) the saltwater taste washes out the vodka taste. I found titos was cost effective, had a good taste, and mixes well with fruit juices, bloody mary mix (or V8 if you're feeling healthy), and olive brine. If you're into that sort of thing :)

I do enjoy a bloody Mary on occasion. :)

I think Tito's is pretty standard for a Moscow Mule, as well.

I was on a trip to Breckenridge CO about 2 years ago and did the tour and tasting at their local distillery. I was very impressed with their High proof 105 and had a rough drive to Denver the next morning. I found it here in Charlotte and the smoothest Blend I have ever consumed. This comes from the guy that used to enjoy Japanese rice whiskey so take it for what it's worth

    Cheers!

I'm having a rum concoction while I thaw some lamb chops to grill along with some corn on the cob from a farmers' market I stopped at on Sunday.

    Cheers, y'all!

Having a few diet cocktails while I grill out. I'm making a New York strip, mushrooms and onions, and corn on the cob. Rough night. :D

    How's everyone doing this Friday?

Made a few margaritas with this last night. Anyone else try 1800 coconut tequila?

Instead of 2 shots of standard tequila, replace one of those shots with this. Everything else the same.

    Wow is it dangerously good!

+1 on the EH Taylor. If someone told me I had to pick one bourbon to drink for the rest of my life but I could have an unlimited supply, EH Taylor Small Batch would be my choice.

Celebrating 35 years of wedded bliss today (sorta). She's a good old gal=put me through school and grad school, nursed me when I was on my back and in a wheelchair and had to learn to walk all over.

Anyway, brought back a selection of mezcals and tequilas from the SW early this summer. Along with a couple of Irish whiskeys. Since most of the group have at least some Irish blood, anyone leaving early will be greeted with calls of Nil sen la (It's not yet morning in Irish Gaelic).

Update: We only went through one bottle of mezcal and finished a bottle of tequila. We continued that evening at our favorite Mexican restaurant and the owner brought us out (as he always does) two shots of a new brand of mezcal to try. REALLY smooth! Very "smoky". he said he'll order a bottle from his distributor for us!

Isn't "unlimited supply" of "small batch" an oxymoron?

As long as they keep releasing "small batches" then I guess it's not. LOL!
