The 2022 how much and how long was your wait thread

4 months. I finally go pick up tomorrow. Arrived last week, but I was busy and it arrived a little earlier than I expected.

 

how do you set up the app to give notifications? I have full vin and 4Runner is in F status but other than it just being in my vehicle list i do not know how to set up these notifications you guys are talking about any help or guidance on setting it up would be helpful

 

You just put the VIN into the app. Once things start moving it will start popping up notifications. I got 2 yesterday and 4 the day before...but I don't know what it is for it just says "your toyota has multiple alerts". There should be a settings tab in the app where you can turn on what kinds of notifications you're getting.

 

I put a deposit on a Trail Special Edition in Lunar Rock back in the second week of January and it just arrived at the dealer on Thursday. Hoping to have it home this week!

Peeped it out on the lot yesterday evening and it looks even better in person than in pictures!

Almost 6 months wait here in Florida. I found a straight up sales guy in the Tampa area and we hit it off. He'll be getting my business from now on. FWIW, the 6 months went by quick! Photo from delivery day!

 

Ahhh...I'm so jealous!!! I've been waiting 9 months; (long story: put deposit down on 12/14---got impatient bought an OR in February, forgot my deposit; got a call o 6/21 that it had been allocated (22 TRD pro-Lime Rush) couldn't pass on it being MSRP, so sold my off road.) Congratulations!!! I'm hoping mine will arrive in the next few weeks! Beautiful runner

 

We picked up our 2022 4Runner TRD ORP 04/05/2022 after a 2 month wait from when we contacted dealer. Paid MSRP no mark up & no weird charges for dealer addons. Wife has been waiting on a 2022 2SS Camaro since NOV 2021, & have been told it was finally built first week of June 2022, so waiting on eventual delivery (she hopes).

 

Very nice! I have the 2019 twin of yours. The color definitely gets a lot of compliments.

 

Put down deposit on January 8th and was delivered July 28. Picked up today. Worth the wait.

 

Anyone happen to know the OEM part number for these running boards?

Were those through the dealer or aftermarket?? I have the rails as part of the off road package, but would really like a step with the same matching black. I use the running board on my old 1988 Bronco, being kind of short, & know that my height & knees are not going to improve over the next few years!!!

 

Just took the same Oem set off my 1 month old 4R today. Wife didn’t like them….you just never know…

 

They were from the dealer. If you go to the website and build one under accessories there are 4 different options.

 

Got on a list for a magnetic grey PRO in January to replace my 2019 Voodoo Blue PRO. At that point, I thought 2022 would be the last year of the 5th gen. I think it was early June, it was announced 6th gen is delayed until 2024 and solar octane is announced for the special color for 2023. Ugh! A week later, dealer calls me and says he has an allocation for me for a 2022 mag Grey! What to do? I passed on the mag Grey and am now first on the list for a Solar Octane. I'm hoping the first 2023s show up Oct/Nov timeframe. I like having a unique color as I've driven black, white, grey and silver cars for decades. And I want the last year of the 5th gen. Looking forward to the many upgrades on the 2023 like Apple CarPlay, LED headlights, safety sense, push button start, surround view cameras, TRD exhaust, remote connect, etc.

 

Took delivery in our 22 TRD OffRoad and took it straight to the shop and tinted it.

 

New here, awesome thread. Randomly stopped by local dealer a couple days ago and they have a white trd pro incoming. Put a deposit and delivery is supposed to be in 4-6 weeks. Is this bs? salesman was really selling that this never happens and that the trd pros are at least 6 months out.
Apparently a customer backed out 20 mins before I got there.

 

Two possibilities. Both equally plausible!?
1. No, it’s not BS. Totally a possibility that someone cancelled and you got lucky.
2. He’s just a really good salesman, recently found out he was allotted a Pro, and the 4-6 weeks is actually “4-6 weeks”. You’ll likely get the truck but it could be in 4 weeks or it could be in 6 months, depending on where you’re at.

 

How dark is that tint? I have not gotten tint yet, front door windows nothing at all, & all the rest is a lighter tint.

 

I tinted the 2 front doors at 5% and went over the factory shaded glass with 15% and I also did the front windshield strip at 5% I didn’t tint the very rear roll down window tho because backing up is a little tricky even with a back up cam lol. I tint all my vehicles that way and it’s honestly not dark looking out while sitting in the driver or any of the passenger seats.

I would never get an inspection sticker around here with tint that dark. Also would get pulled over left and right. looks great though

 

I know, thankfully I live in a small town and know most of the cops and sheriffs.
