I posted this also on the Tundras.com site I hang around in, thought I'd float it out this way to see if a different crowd was anymore aware.

    ------
I did use the search first and found no topics with this, so hopefully this isn't duplicated.

Teaser of an upcoming release of what may be the new FJ Cruiser?

The article only leaves me intrigued and really pumped to see what they show off April 12th at the New York Auto Show

I can't imagine this being the new FJ with such a small tire size. The outgoing FJ had essentially 31" tires, this concept has 27" tires.

The tire size coresponds to a small SUV which is strange, as Toyota already has the Rav4. Maybe it'll be an offroad version?

Looking forward to see what it is.

Yeah they got me all through a loop as well. We know the C-HR released this coming month, but thats already been revealed and posted, they spoke of the Rav4 Adventure trim package already to be added to the 2018 line up, so this will be something new and hopefully great.

Looks like Toyota's Jeep Renagade, small and bad at offroading, but still somehow offroad worthy.

Yeah I can see the Renegade in it.
I had an Honda Element back when I raced mountain and road bikes, I actually loved that thing. One of the most versatile vehicles I have ever owned. Gawd it was ugly though.:crapstorm:

I hear you could roll a bike right up into the back of it?

I think it's pretty cool concept but more like a slash element/renegade/soul. I like the rear options. Wish it had more of a frame under body but looks more like a unibody type. Still cool but doubt it's much offroad capable.

Yup! My road and mountain bike would fit in there with the seats lifted up to sides. Pretty amazing how much gear you could put in it. Camped in it all the time, the entire back turn into a bed, that is why the sunroof was in the rear so you can see through it or have it open while laying down. Never needed to bring a tent with me. I really was an awesome little rig.

    That's pretty badass right there.
Bring able to just throw in the bikes is win, and then the camping part of it is even better.

I agree, such a small tire. Hopefully, it would indeed be an off-road version.
