What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Negative, caps with two real Allen wrench on them.
Stems are pretty far in, no problem whatsoever.

 

I bought black nylon bolts to replace the faux lock rings bolts. Since mine came gold n faded, it was a cheap fix

 

I've been meaning to replace those with stainless, nylon bolts, great idea, thanks. Happen to know what size and length those are?

 

Did the Halogen to LED DRL mod this weekend. Took less than 30 minutes total including making the harness and the install. Looks so much better!!!

Today I drop her off to a buddy's shop for the Westcott Spacer lift that finally arrived as well as the install of my Cali Raised Sliders. Debated doing it myself but he ha a lift and a badass alignment machine not to mention all the right tools. I'll update when I get her back!!

my question is if the ironman4x4 9500/12000 would be ok with mounting location? Detachable solenoid? Battery box?
Previous owner mounted box at radiator support due to tight fit

I’m getting the bumper for a steal so winch research kinda came outta nowhere

It was that or HF badlands also due to 20-25% off

what I actually did today in it…hauled bout 20 gallons of different milks to my cafe from grocery store since vendors are slacking these days

 

Also back from a ban cause of a 3 year old sticker haha. Also picked up a new toy for my boy

 

Installed an onboard compressor Sunday.

 

Well on a spur of the moment and a offer I decided I could not turn down, I sold the 4runner. Sold it for $46,000.

Took the equity and put down on a SR5 tundra double cab 4wd.

The 4runner was good vehicle but it was not me. I needed to be back in a truck.

 

I also went to Carmax and appraised my 2022 Limited 4x4 Army Green couple days ago
Carmax gave me $49k
Carvana gave me $52k

Not enough to convince me, I'd sell if they offered $55k, so I'm keeping mine

A week or so ago a screen fell from my 2nd floor and hit the rear, passenger quarter window juuust right shattering it. Finally got it fixed todat at a great body shop near me. Anyone looking for a good shop in the Valley Stream, NY area PM me. Now I have to buy another set of mountain decals to replace the one lost. Could be a heck of a lot worse.

Please post an update on the ride quality after a couple of weeks. How much lift gained front and rear? I prefer the Eibach springs to the Westcott spacer lift. I really like the way the stock Pro handles . Mine is 14 months old with 20,400 miles and I have not done anything to it. Thanks!

You are the first I have seen or heard of installing the new version of Eibach springs on 22 PRO.

How's the ride quality? Hard to tell, is it leveled now with just the new springs upgrade?

Have you measured before and after, since Eibach said its another 1.4 in the front?

 

Good to know, I have the springs sitting in my garage, was going to wait until I needed new tires b/c i thought it might look awkward but it looks good on the factory size as well... might have to get mine installed sooner rather than later.

 

Got the Westcott Designs front lift and Dobinsons rear springs installed on a Pro Fox takeoffs from a local member. Ride is a bit firmer than the ORP suspension, but doesn't feel sloppy anymore as nosedive and body roll are much reduced.

One thing I've noticed is that I feel like I'm putting in more throttle than what I've used to speed up and maintain speed. Wind resistance? Not sure.

 

they got restocked so i ordered and then installed the meso customs dual color map lights. super easy and they are awesome!

 

Yesterday I was the idiot. Got high centered on the frame crossbar and gas tank. Minor damage on the frame, small dents on the exhaust next to the crossmember, chipped some paint, and fuel tank skid got dented (wasn't expecting it to be so flimsy but it did it's job). Didn't have any traction boards which probably would've gotten me out. Had to get a tow to recover ($800 with tax). Learn from me.
