I've got a 1995 4Runner I purchased a little over a year ago. I was having a coolant leak and found a hose leaking and the original radiator was still in it and had some cracks. I've replaced the hose and the radiator.

No problems until the other day on my way to work. It overheated and I've got coolant leaking out on the drivers side. I don't see any hoses leaking that I can get to. I don't have any other symptoms of it being the head gasket. (I'm not saying it's not, I just don't have any of the other symptoms.)

    Help, tips and advice?

I'm new to the 4 runner. I'm going to be doing the work with a friend.

    Thanks!!!

You can't find a hose it's leaking from, but can you find a spot on the actual motor where the coolant is concentrated? If the truck still runs fine and whatnot if you top off the coolant, you can always clean out the engine real well, and run it to find the leak. Also, you said you replaced the radiator, have you double and triple checked the lower hose and petcock?

I have not triple checked anything. My plan is to get under there and look again this weekend.

Okay. So turns out this is the head gasket. I think I am going to end up tackling this with the help of a friend. Any advice on things I should watch for? I've priced out a head gasket hit, the head bolts, and a new timing belt. Figured while I'm in there, I might as well change them.

pulling the motor out will make it a lot easier.

ALSO, I'd suggest using an OEM Gasket as I forsee premature failure from cheap aftermarket ones,
