Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Closing on a lake house at the end of this month. Original plan was to build a barndominium / guest house in my back field and then this came on the market. Jumped on it.

Someone ate them all!! I don’t know how I ever made it without a recliner.
Edit: I found an unidentified stain between the arm and cushion…and my wife says it stinks.

I’m casted out, picked up some fish from Global Foods. Termite guy tried to sell me a service for treatment just had $1500 worth done last year. Always trying to sell you something. The water temps have dropped so we’ll see. There’s a white catfish and a few piebalds I’m targeting.

Yep, land a 36 inch catfish on it? Best fight of my life.

I snapped a trout series rod off at the base. It was snagged and a few years old. Actually I caught a monster cat on that little rod too.

I have a few Pfluegers. Good reels!

I used to always buy the cheapest spinning reels and replace them every few years. Once I started getting into saltwater, I knew that wouldn't fly anymore. Most of my saltwater reels are Penn. They're not the smoothest, but take a beating!

My most interesting fight was a ~40# Flathead on 12# mono and a cheap Walmart combo. That took awhile!

The bigger Flatheads can make some creepy noises. It's been too long since I've wrestled one!

The Cat I caught was not even that big somewhere in the 14 to 16 inch size and when we say "growl" it was like a angry dog throat growl.....No way was I messing with that one! I'm I trout, bass, wiper and things of the like fishing type however I hope to try a bit of Saltwater fishing soon.

Lol! It sounds like that one was possessed!

We used to have wipers in Wisconsin in Columbia lake. Which, coincidentally, is where I caught most of my flat heads. I only caught one wiper ever. For all the casting I did, it took a piece of cut bait. It was around 25 or 26 in I think, and strong as f***!

Here in Utah we go to Willard Bay and use mussels on the hook and catch them right and left and they certainly put up a heck of a fight, they are between 16 to 20 inch and fat as heck great for filets long as you have super sharp knife or an electric one

I bet they're good eating. White Bass (half of what makes a wiper) are very popular in Wisconsin, especially in spring when they run. I've been a hardcore fisherman for the last 20 years or so, and have not eaten nearly enough fish. I usually fish for bass and Northern just for catch and release entertainment. But, we have a lot of tasty fish here. I should take advantage of it more

Now all I am thinking about is when to go fishing and catch something good and if anybody here try's to get me in this weekend to work why I'll just have to blame it on you.... and if they call me while out on the boat I will just say I am out on "A Job" <------- no lie that's the name of my boat.

Lol! I will gladly take responsibility.

At one point, there was a funny boat names thread either here or on Tacoma world. "A Job" would definitely be appreciated! Clever!

Broke me off this morning! Sucks, hasn’t happened in years. That’s what I get for using a spool I found in the garage (30# I usually use 50#).
This casts pretty well but a backlash could get ugly.4EBEB18C-09A3-4C52-8E2F-890748969DBF.jpg

U know catfish. Sometimes he goes into the hole sometimes he comes out of his hole. I can catch him. He is big now. But, I will put him back within five minutes. Unless I get a kiddy pool or something I can play with them for a bit.

Nice--love the St. Croix--their rods are great out here use them for walleye fishing. It's great to have such a great quality American made product.
