As of today, 2024 MY. It's been pushed back until then and IMO, will get pushed back a year or two after that if these supply chain issues keep up.

Then again, I could be wrong.

    I hope your wrong

I’ve been waiting since 2019 for 6th Gen. Thought it was coming in late 2020, then late 2021. Hoping late this year.

can’t take the Subaru much longer

You're going to be waiting for awhile.

It might be better to buy a 5th gen (if you can find one at MSRP) and then trade when the 6th gens come.

That's what I'm worried about. Like the Tundra. Hope it won't get Lexused.

I think all the pics of the next gen are renderings from people who are speculating what it will look like. Not actual spy photos. This is a speculation photo, for example:

    Next gen what?

Since Toyota is being super secret about the next 4Runner, I wouldn't worry about anything you can find right now.

Unless your friend is on the design team.:notsure:

Yeah, that one looks good to me.

I wouldn't mind if the front end looks like this. The rendering he did of the rear looks like butt though. He also thought it would come out in 2023 until he changed his tune.

I should probably just go buy a 5th gen T4R. I know the second the ink is dry and I drive it off the lot there will be a grand announcement about the 6th Gen release

Maybe CarMax will give me a good deal on a used 5th gen t4r with low miles.

There are no pics. Anything you're seeing online have just been renderings and not the actual design.

If you've been waiting for years already, I would just buy one. From what people are saying on here, the sixth gen is likely to be the worst gen ever and a horrible failure.

You wouldn't want to buy the first year of a new gen anyway, so you're still a few years out. I would just buy the 5th gen now.

It's a good bump up in torque. I'm pretty sure it will improve low to midrange torque significantly.

Edit:. The Lexus makes peak torque at 1700 RPMs. 309 foot pounds of torque at below 2000 RPMs would be absolutely fantastic in my opinion.

Well that's good then. I had looked for the full specs but couldn't locate them.

Peak TQ that low will be terrific, this will be a big improvement over the 4.0 and 3.5L.

Yes! Sounds like comparable torque to the 4th gen V8's, which had excellent towing power. I know I defend the 1GR a lot, but I certainly wouldn't complain about more low end torque.
